I'm pleased with this purchase. We're putting 2 electric bikes on it, and I am confident that this rack will support them easily. The ability to tighten the rack with the built-in tightening feature after sliding it into the receiver is what really makes this unit great. And it all locks down, making this unit pretty secure, although I would hesitate leaving $5000 in bikes on this rack in a high crime area for an extended time. The directions are adequate but could be better. ( I've seen a LOT worse) it took me about 45 minutes to assemble this. ... show more

The bike rack performs as stated in the description. Easy to install, holds well so far and bikes do not wobble when in motion. The tires fit as designed. I have taken 2 highway trips with local pave roads so far but no off-roads trips.

    • Easy to assemble, robust build - although I wonder how secure that plastic knob lock really is
I recently installed the Tesla trailer hitch on my Model Y and bought this rack for a mix of Lectric XP Lite ebike and regular bike. Installation was easy once I located my hex set (they should have provided those). Construction seems very solid. As the Model Y's hitch is recessed from the back of the car - it can be a tight fit for the inside bike. Fortunately the locking feature worked well to secure the hitch and minmize rock. Model Y owners have to deal with the complications of lack of space for hitch locks - so this locking method was welcome. I think my biggest concern is the security of the plastic knob lock at the bottom and whether it would hold up - being located in a more vulnerable position where it could be banged or hit when the hitch is installed and removed. I didnt see any phone numbers or emails for spare parts or customer service in the supplied manual - would be nice to know that they might be available in case parts break. This thing is a sturdy beast! So well made. Steel is strong and the fit is secure and tight. Assembly was painless and relatively quick. One of the primary reasons I bought this one is the way the wheels are secured in place. The wheel holders fit all varieties of tires perfectly, and the built-in tire straps add that extra bit of security. When bikes are mounted and secured by all the ratchet mechanisms they DO NOT MOVE. Not knocking the ladies at all, but my wife is not very strong or mechanically inclined. She and I put it together and she was off and running. Carried her bike to Florida, and back! Works beautifully. No rattles or shaking. Highly recommend.
