I got this to play videos for my kids from my iPad/iPhone to a TV when on trips where we're staying somewhere that doesn't have a smart TV, but it won't play videos off Amazon Prime or Apple's Streaming service so it doesn't work for what I wanted it for - it says "Device can't play video because it doesn't adhere to content standards" or something along those lines It will play Youtube Videos and also mirror your screen so depending on what your needs are it might work for you. ... show more

I am a trainer and use my iPad a lot for presentations. If I have Wi-Fi I can screencast through my laptop, but I don't always have that ability. This cord has proven very useful for when there is no connectivity. The resolution has been good, and the cord itself is sturdy, lightweight, and travels well. My only complaint is that I wish they made a longer one. This one is only six feet, which makes for a bit of a short tether - I'm something of a pacer when I present. However, I knew what I was getting when I bought it, so I got what I paid for, and I'll keep it in my bag for when the need arises. Incidentally, it's also great for streaming movies on hotel TVs when I travel, which is a lot. ... show more
