I've purchased a few different patio umbrellas and this one so far is the best quality for the money. Unfortunately, a huge wind storm knocked it off my deck and it got destroyed from the fall but even after that situation the canvas and lights still held up it was only the unavoidable metal dents that occurred but not to the fault of the mfgr or quality. I had this umbrella for just over a year. I worked well, and was reliable. That is until about 2 months ago when it began to creek when being opened and twist past when it should despite being in a 40lb umbrella base and table. I came home on a bright sunny day yesterday to find it like this. It had failed at the joint where the winding handle is. Initially I was hesitant to buy the umbrella because people kept talking about the lights going out or it would break within months. The lights were fine on this and still are, they will turn on even when it is broken but the umbrella neither stands nor opens as the winding thing is pretty much shattered. And it lasted well with appropriate daily use but it should have lasted longer. I would buy another but i dont want to shell out a hundred dollars every year for something which should last at least 3. In the pictures you can see where it failed and where the metal was starting to bend from its turning and twisting. I wanted this to last so I made sure to close it and attach the velcro strap thing after EVERY use but it still failed. Several recommendations for the manufacturer, The winding handle joint has been shown to be the most fragile part of the thing based on it failing there, it shouldn't be made out of plastic. Why is it made out of plastic to begin with, this seems obvious to me. make it out of metal and reinforce it. Seems like a quick fix. Disappointed this was very unexpected. ... show more

I love the idea of a rectangle umbrella for a rectangle table. The solar panel does a nice job of charging the LED lights. The lights, however, are more decorative. They do not throw off as much light as you would think, but I think that is OK. Be aware that the tilting feature only works on the long side of the rectangle, not a dealbreaker for me, but something to consider depending on how the sun will pass over your table. You will need a large umbrella base. I have a 50lb one and it works well. I also recommend an umbrella cover… I have one and it keeps the umbrella like new! ... show more

The color is intense, which is perfect! Substantial fabric. Shouts Summer! Easy to install on my own, senior that I am! Seems taller than my replacement umbrella but not an issue; if placed under another potion of my deck which includes a wood pagoda, it wouldn’t have worked. Solar lights work, lovely at night. Nice detail of a Velcro strap keeping all ribs intact while umbrella is closed. All in all seemingly a good product which I am happy with. Perfect for the sun deck and 2 lounge chairs, tilt function is easy to maneuver, open and close is very smooth, and lights are soft but bright enough to light underneath. Easy to clean and water beads right off. Recommend buying a adapter separately for stability as the pole is just slightly smaller than the hole in the pool. ... show more
