A really easy dog house to put together! The only time I needed an electric or battery operated screwdriver was when it came to attaching the roof.....all the rest you can use a regular standard screwdriver! VERY easy to put together...just follow the instructions!

Easy to assemble and fairly rugged. The only weak part of the design is the roof latches which hold the roof up when you clean the inside of the doghouse. They bent after the first use, and I removed them and just use a stick to hold up the roof when I clean the inside.

    • I am planning to house chickens in it.
I would have liked a wider ridge of wood around the walls to set the floor on. The house has to be perfectly squared- up for the floor to set on the bottom and not hang loose. I bought this shelter because it had a removable floor and a small barrier wall to protection wall I can't remove the floor panels. So it does not have a floor you can remove! I used this dog house for 5 months and the roof just fell apart. The first time I lifted the roof for cleaning, the bracket that holds the roof, it bent so I use a stick to hold the roof up. The instructions were complicated to follow the first page had 4 different steps to follow in the first step connecting 4 parts at once. When screwing the top on there’s no holes to follow to put the screws exactly where they need to be so if it’s not lined up perfectly your roof won’t be aligned. For what ever reason there’s holes in the flaps on the plastic. ... show more

Like the color and the doghouse very much. It has plenty of room for our Labrador retriever. It was easy to assemble and had all the parts to it. Would definitely purchase another one if I needed too. 🙂

    • Great House for my new Chicks!
It took 5 hours to put it together, but we followed the instructions step by step and it turned out great! It is in a covered chicken coop so we were not worried about rain affecting it. It is huge and the chicks love it!
