    • All the parts fit together
After returning a similar shelf because the parts didn't fit, I was reluctant to buy another one, but took a chance. I want to tell you that this is one of the best constructed bookshelves I've purchased in a long time. The parts fit together like they were designed to and the ease in which we put it together was unbelievable. The only thing we should have done better was to fit one of the metal sides with the cabinet on it on the wrong way because it was difficult to see where the holes were supposed to be. As a result one of the side legs is turned backward and we didn't see it until the entire thing was assembled so that we couldn't put that metal cross rail on the back. However, we can't take away from the ease of assembly of this entire unit in a short amount of time. I'm telling you, this was relatively a breeze to assemble. Nice, stylish, sturdy, big bookshelf. If you’re looking to fill a corner in your room, highly recommend this shelf. I like that it has open space and a little bit of storage. The only thing is that one of the handles is defective, but that is minor damage.

Beautifully developed yet time consuming. There is a misprint in the instructions that wasn’t corrected - part 15 and 17. Holds my tarot cards, books, and the cupboard space holds my herbs and candles. Despite the hard time putting it together it’s been a whole week and I love it more and more every day! Replacing an older style bookshelf that has slabs held up on the edges, this one has the crossbar down the center of the shelf which should keep it from bowing over the years. I was initially skeptical that such thin shelving would hold up, but the design seems to accommodate for that. Pay attention to the holes in the instructions and you'll be fine. Everything goes in a specific direction, and you'll probably make a mistake, but it's all for good reason. I opted to use a bit of wood glue for the dowels to keep things in one piece, but if you plan on moving it might be easier to have this partially disassembled. I have no plans to move, and this fit perfectly in a corner. If Amazon is still around in 20 years I'll update how things are going around 2044 or so. ... show more
