  • What a nice surprise 4DG2 RC PLANE AIRPLANE
What a pleasant surprise! The 4DG2 RC PLANE AIRPLANE is a whole lot of fun to fly! I have been flying Planes and Radio Control Air for the better part of half a century, nothing with RC Airplanes surprises me very often. The 4DG2 RC PLANE certainly did just that. What a nice flyer, it has all of the features, Gyro stabilization, throttle, differential steering, Bright LEDS. The 4DG2 Airplane will fly fast enough to keep you on your toes or throttle back to half for a more leisurely flight. The Controls are smooth and precise. This could be a inexpensive entry level airplane if you are thinking about becoming a RC Pilot. Down the road if RC flying is something you enjoy you'll buy bigger and better but you'll always have fond memories of this strange little Jewel of an airplane that loves the air. The 4DG2 Airplane is a joy to fly. The items you see in the pictures are the foam airplane, Remote Controller, extra sets of propellers, two batteries, (One is inside the battery compartment), Charger, Installed LEDS light strip mounted on the bottom of the wing, Phillips screwdriver, and Instructions. You will need to supply 3 AAA Batteries for the controller. The wear you see pictured, after twenty flights + All landings were on our grass runway, throttle is off wear is minimal at best. I have not attempted to take off from the ground prefering to hand launch most of my small foamies. Our grass field is not designed to take off with smaller RC aircraft < 1/6th Scale. In the United States of America the 4DG2 RC PLANE AIRPLANE weighs in at a whopping 2.4 Ounces with a full battery, just over 65 Grams. making the airplane exempt of the 250 Gram FAA remote ID ruling that will come into effect in 2024. However always check the free and easy to use, B4UFLY APP and of course local laws in your area before flight. ... show more

  • Not for kids
This plane is not for kids. Even though the description online says it’s for kids, the instructions inside the box actually say it’s only for 14 and up. This plane would work best for adult collectors or perhaps for teens. It is very lightweight, made of styrofoam, and can break easily. It also requires quite a bit of assembly. Both of these things make it unsuitable for children. It comes with a battery for the plane itself, but needs 3AAA batteries for the controller. That being said, it looks nice and is fun. ... show more

  • First 2 channel that did not fly
I have been flying planes for over 25 years and recently come to enjoy the sub $40 2 channel RC planes. I'm afraid to admit that I never got this to fly well. Most of my other 2 channel planes flew decent and a few were truly excellent, but this one from 4drc was a disappointment. The weight alone felt suspiciously heavy as I pulled it from package and its performance after being hand launched was as expected after seeing the design up close. At the time of writing this these are out of stock, maybe 4drc will make some changes. ... show more

  • Remote Control Plane
I ordered this product to give as a gift. It was very good looking. My favorite thing about this product is its durability.

  • Came with 1 faulty battery, and the propellers glue failed after 3 crashes into grass
This was an awesome plane until I started charging the 2nd battery. The battery was no good and wouldn’t charge and wouldn’t work in the plane. I even tried re-wiring it and nothing worked. I took it to the park to a huge grass field to get some practice and it flies great but after only 3 crashes the glue that holds the propeller on failed. I used my hobby glue to fix it but it just doesn’t fly the same. If they ran a small strip of metal through the wings and over the blade motor it would help with this type of accident. These planes are aimed at beginners and with that means you will crash and they know that. There should be a re-design of the plane and a small price increase to reinforce the weak points where they only used glue. I will say this, it does work, it will takeoff and land, and it flies pretty good. I will give it that. If you are practicing flying this is a great start just be prepared for it to break fairly easy. ... show more

  • Misrepresented but does fly, not for beginners
The media could not be loaded. The vendor is very misleading on this plane. They indicate that it has vertical takeoff and landing capabilities as well as other features, such as a gyro stabilizer. Nothing could be farther from the truth. This airplane is a simple “thrust vector” controlled plane. You both steer and go up or down by altering the speed of the motors behind the front wing. The photos they show do not depict where the motors are, so you are led to believe it has them in a location making it capable of vertical flight. But to be fair, it does fly. For those interested in how to get this plane adjusted or trimmed out, read on. Out of the box my plane did not fly. First, I tried to get it to perform a rolling take off. The plane does not generate enough lift to do that. It just rolls along the ground until you run out of runway. Before it’s first flight I had ensured that the battery was fully charged as well. When charging, the charger light comes on when the battery is full. It is off when plugged in and charging. The next attempt was to try and toss the plane into the wind, using high power and full throttle. The plane immediately banked hard to the right and dove to the ground. You can see this in the video. The only way to adjust the flight pattern of this plane is to twist the back edge (trailing edge) of the front wing up or down. You need to do this either behind the left or right side, depending on which way the plane is banking or turning. After a number of attempts of adjusting it in the manor, I was able to get it to finally fly straight. Once I did the plane began to climb. You can see this in the video as well. Another tip for you to get this plane into the air is to use the lower power mode and only half throttle when you toss it into the air. This will help prevent the plane from sharp banking because of the torque produced by the motors, which can occur as well. Once the plane has gained some speed, you can gradually throttle up. This plane needs a lot of space and a very calm day. Too much wind will make it very difficult to control. I hope these tips help you fly your plane. ... show more
