Recently, my 75 foot Heavy Duty Outdoor Power Cord arrived and was eagerly inspected. Having had many 12 gauge cords of similar current capability, the first major thing noticed was its high flexibility. Its flexing compares very favorably with several of my 16 gauge extension cords. Although its flexibility is untested yet in sub-zero temperatures, it is expected to perform admirably as others have reviewed here. Several reviewers have noted that this cord is not UL listed. Technically that is probably true, but it is ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories) listed, which means it has been tested to the UL specifications and it meets them. ETL is a well known recognized testing safety organization. The actual cord is embossed as being ETL listed along with the cable being SJTW rated. SJTW is an industry-standard abbreviation used on wire and cable. It means it is a hard service, thermoplastic cable rated for 300V and approved for outdoor use. S is for service; J is for junior (defined as hard service instead of extra hard); T is the coating (thermoplastic/vinyl); W is weather approved. Although long term durability will take time to evaluate, it appears this cord should be very durable as the connectors seem well made and the overall general workmanship exceptional. 12/3 Gauge Heavy Duty Outdoor Extension Cord 100 ft Waterproof with Lighted end. We have a detached garage that is approximately 70 feet from the main house. The garage does not have electric utilities available and on occasion we have a need for electrical access for such items as lighting, power tools, EV charging, etc. We recently purchased an EV and now need to invest in some utilities at the garage. An expensive addition. However, in the meantime, we still have a need to charge our EV. I purchased the extension cord mainly for this purpose as a temporary solution. The EV pulls a constant 13-14 amps and requires several hours to complete the charging cycle using 120V charger. My concern with using the extension cord is that if it was capable to maintain a constant 13-14 amp draw without failing. A cord of this length and pushing 14 amps is just a giant resister. Resister's get hot. As it turns out, this extension cord performs perfectly. It easily supports the constant amperage draw for hours, I mean like for 40 hours continuously. The cord doesn't even get warm, even with the 12 gauge wire. So if you are in need of a very nice, weatherproof, flexible cord with lighted end, this is one you should probably consider. BTW. I've used this cord in 20 degree weather and it remained just as flexible as 70 degree weather - impressive. Would I recommend this cord, yes I would and I am considering purchasing another one. ... show more

I bought this to run power in my back yard by the shed. I use a 12" sliding miter saw rated for 15 amps and this cord has been solid. It's maintained flexibility so far. I haven't tested it in extreme cold yet, and I'm in no hurry to do so, but I have no reason to believe it won't hold up as described. The lighted receptacle is a great bonus, especially when you're plugging in across the yard like with a hundred foot cord. I'd buy this again. Great value. ... show more

This cord works great for using tools that draw higher than average voltage. however, it weighs quite a bit when coiled. In cold, it does get quite stiff. Otherwise, works great!

Roof leaked into my shop and I needed to extend some circuits. Well made, durable and better priced than most. Being on a limited income that's very appreciative. About the only con I have and it's nitpicking is I did not order enough! Back on the list until next month! Get them!
