abunda_amazon_reviews On the first flight in my Q500 4K, I got a warning the battery was low, only after a few minutes while conducting a hover test at 20 feet. I landed as soon as my controller gave me the low battery warning. Moments after I landed, I decided to pull the battery but it had swollen and was difficult to extract. When I finally managed to get it out, the sides were bloated and the battery was exceedingly warm. I contacted Venom two days later because the battery was still bloated and Venom was difficult work with and offered no help. Stuck with a $100+ dead battery, I tried pulling one vinyl side off the battery (using non-static tweezers I use for installing watch batteries) and the Venom caught on fire. Luckily I was in my metal barn on a concrete floor with no combustible items nearby. The smell was terrible (and Venom as a company is terrible too.);;September 20, 2016;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;"Come on baby light my fire.";;Luke;;;I finally had the time to do a real test of this battery. I've had big problems with the original Yuneec batteries. The first one failed after only 3 months. The second one failed after about a year of use. Both Yuneec batteries would puff up and swell, and I mean they would actually feel spongy and soft on the sides and stick out. Not good. However, their flight times were originally impressive. It just concerned me that when they fail, they do it catastrophically and suddenly, even after charging them properly and sending the drone up, only to get a big warning to bring it down almost immediately. That's what happened with two of my Yuneec batteries, so I was looking for a good alternative. The last Yuneec battery failre ended up crashing in a bush. Lost a prop, but could have been much worse. The Venom Group battery had more mAh according to its specs, and it is more expensive than the stock Yuneec batteries. So, I tried one as a test. Taking the Typhoon 4K up today and letting it stay in a controlled hover for about 5 minutes, (this is a great drone, very controllable) everything seemed fine. Then, I took it up to about 200 feet and flew it faster, let it hover for awhile at high altitude, and then at about 13:30, got my first warning to bring the drone back due to battery life now at its first level of being drained. This was at 13 and a half minutes -- shocking, when the Venom battery is supposed to be longer lasting and it isn't cheap. When using a Yuneec stock battery you can get between 20 and 25 minutes of life. The Venom battery today, after 15 minutes of use was almost completely drained and the Typhon was then unflyable. Taking it out, the Venom had puffed slightly, but not nearly as much as the stock Tuneec batteries. However, there is absolutely no advantage for paying more for a supposedly better battery if it fails to perform. I'm going to try one more 3rd party battery, the HobbyTiger, because it seemed to be getting good reviews. I have reservations about buying another Yuneec battery since their longevity isn't that great either, and they are expensive. So, a bit of trial and error here. I will say that Yuneec is #1 in my book for best support on their copters, are extremely helpful, but don't warrent their batteries like they do their drones. Someone needs to build a much better battery, and it's NOT the Chinese. From what I've been told, there isn't a single U.S. company that makes Lithium batteries. That needs to change. UPDATE: This battery was only used a couple times. Recently I checked it with my battery checker and it was low so it was charged to prep it for use. The sides had swollen but it still fit into the Typhoon. On launch, a few seconds later I got the low battery warning and to "land immediately." The battery was recycled at Best Buy. Poor quality and Dangerous
Only a month of buying them inflated. After 3 months they started to fail, I connect a balancer and it tells me that the battery has 100% charge and when I use it in the drone it immediately returns home because it has no charge.Venom 10C 3S 6000mAh 11.1V LiPO Battery for Yuneec Q500, Q500+, Q500 4K, Typhoon G Drone RC Quadcopter x2 Packs

Not a noticable flight time improvement.
Thought I get longer run time out of my Yuneec Drone but fight time is relatively the same as original 6300mAh battery. Also battery is very very snug when installing into drone. Was a little worried I was going to break something the first time I installed it but did push in with a little extra force. Overall though, the battery is performing as should so I don't have much complaint.
