abunda_amazon_reviews Positive : peddles smoothly with decent tension , tho I expected more . The speed , distance , calories , heart rate monitor are useless . The preset programs are useless as the lowers tension levels are like peddling air . The seat hurts me bum . I do weigh 250 lbs and generally ride the bike for about between 6 0 - 85 minutes . Took me about 2 hours to put together by myself , don't know why it took that length of time , seems like it should take little more than an hour . All the tools you need are included , tho if you have a socket wrench and a pair of pliers I think they would be very helpful and cut the time and the aggravation significantly . The pedal straps will come loose often , the bottom bar flexes when you pedal it dips up . Previously had the Schwinn 230 which a got for about 60 dollars less than this , a much better bike , at the time of this writing the Schwinn is 120 dollars more tho . If I hadn't already bought this I would probably buy the Schwinn 270 which is about 108 dollars more at the time of this review . Don't recommend this exercise bike .;;November 21, 2018;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Expected More;;LUCIFER B SATAN III;;;A great recumbent cycle. Just what I had hope for when I ordered it. I am very pleased with this product. Advantages: 1) 24 levels of resistance - no big jump in resistance from one level to the next. Great for keeping heart rate in the zone. 2) Very quiet, very smooth. The 22 pound flywheel probably contributes to the smoothness. 3) Shorter in length than average recumbent bike - more options for placement in the exercise area. 4) Display/Computer has the essentials I need. I did not want on-line connectivity or anything like iFit, and it doesn't have it. 5) Very sturdy. Doesn't wobble or flex. 6) Works great with the Polar chest strap I already owned. 7) Relatively easy to put together. Drawbacks: 1) The control panel button press beep is louder than I would have liked, and there appears to be no way to lower the volume or disable it. 2) The seat fore/aft adjustment is very stiff (there might be a way to adjust it, but I haven't bothered to look) 3) I had to re-seat an already installed screw in the plastic shell around the flywheel. Only took a minute to do once I determined what the problem was. Based on my experience with this product, I would recommend it without hesitation.;;February 12, 2013;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great recumbent bike;;R. Gagnier;;;I purchased this bike based on a more expensive Xterra model being offered at a big box retailer whom I love and trust. It was easy to assemble over an evening, by myself, using my own tools. Take to heart what others have recommended in terms of assembly; they are all spot on. It is a very solid machine but is easy enough to move when pivoted up on the front wheels. I was particularly pleased that the seat is easy to adjust but doesn't squeak or wobble when in use. In fact, the bike is entirely silent when in operation, surprisingly so. I weigh in at 225 lbs. I wasn't expecting this. The seat is far more comfortable than I might have imagined. Xterra's more expensive models offer a mesh seat back and may be more adjustable. This seat, however, has been entirely adequate for me in terms of comfort and angle (which is not adjustable). At 6' I'm right in the middle of the distance adjustment from the pedals. I imagine it can accommodate a wide range of people of various heights. The 12 preset programs and 24 levels of magnetic resistance are totally adequate for my needs. I'm not really interested in a computer that tracks my progress or that can transfer and store information. It does take your basic stats and recommends a target heart rate, however, which is always useful. As I've improved, I just increase the level on the program to reach my target heart rate. I do like that it tells you how far you've travelled and how many calories you've burned. It also gives you a recovery score if you choose the cool down mode. Others have noted inaccuracies in their heart rate monitor but I've had no problems so far. You do need to make sure you clean the contacts occasionally. You also have to make good hand contact or you'll see the little heart icon isn't flashing evenly indicating that it's not able to pick up your cardiac electrical activity. If I shift my hand position a little it usually gets back on track. Watch the blinking heart icon for feedback. It also takes a few beats before it accurately reassesses your heart rate. Be patient. Overall, I'm simply blown away by how nice this bike is. I've only had it a month but I've managed to use it daily. It's solid, intelligently designed, and very easy to use. It also doesn't take up a great deal of space. I couldn't have asked for a better exercise machine especially at this price point.
