My 7-year old bought this. She convinced me to chip in one half the cost, because this unit will hold up to about 250 pounds. I weigh 200, and I wanted to try a hoverboard, too. (Many hoverboards are limited to less than 200 pounds.) Interestingly, this device is easy to use and responsive to my daughter's 60 lb weight, and it is still responsive to a much heavier rider like me. It's really different, fun way to glide over the ground. Charging it is easy, and it does seem to go about 45 minutes on a charge...we haven't really timed it or measured the distance, but it hasn't disappointed us or left anyone stranded. We haven't tried the bluetooth speaker, but based on the sound effects the hoverboard makes to convey its status, and the small size of the speakers, we are not in a rush to try out the speakers. Tiny and tinny. We have a few steep hills in our area, and the hoverboard carries my daughter right up the steep hill. Amazing. I haven't tried it on the steep hills because I'm not yet ready to lean forward into the hill....this is a skill level issue, I believe. ... show more

Wanted to get out there with my daughters so I bought this one which seemed to be a heavy duty version. I weight 320-lbs, and its perfectly sturdy. The specs say up to 265lbs, but works just fine for me.

I'm enjoying my hoverboard for work and everytime I hit even the smallest bump, I barely make it over. Not too bad but beware with offroad hoverboards. I dont think they are strong enough yet

I got this for my daughter to use as I am going on longer walks. This handles the sidewalk bumps very well. She is also able to use it in the yard. The battery lasts a solid 4-5 miles. Granted, my daughter is a speed demon and likes to power stop as well.

We had no experience with any hoverboard. We started with a cheap kid hoverboard, it was scratch all over during first 10 minutes in the front of the house pavement, too week to go up the driveway, and stop abruptly from imperfection small hole. Then we realized we need bigger tire. We tried a all terrain model but was shaking crazy, probably because the kids was only 44 pounds. Then, this model, our third tries after returning the first 2.
