abunda_amazon_reviews This bench looks fantastic...strong...very nice. Then I looked at the pin pull for moving the seat up and down...cheesy little spring looks like crap! Noticed a thread coming loose...thin super cheap thread...what a waste! Maybe that sounds trivial...until you are sitting on foam... Then...sat on the cushion...the cushion really isn't the word to use. Although it is thick and luxurious to the eye...it is as hard as a plywood seat...so is the back rest...just horrible...to damn hard. How they screwed this up is unbelievable...make a nice 11 gauge unit that has killer looks and then just go horribly cheap on the thread which holds the seat together...seat and back cushion that feels like cement...a spring that will break down soon...and then I saw a little bottle of touch up paint...I thought the unit was going to be powder coated...not painted!! I wish I could return it today...almost $300 should have gotten me more quality. If you just like looks...this is your puppy. If you want comfort and quality thru-out...look somewhere else...sorry X Mark.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2018;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Looks great...but!!!;;J. grechko;;;This bench is built like a tank and I would definitely buy again, with that being said there are a couple of glaring problems, the first one is minor but still a problem and that is the cheap caps that go over the padding for the foot bar, mine have not fallen off but it will sooner or later, they could have easily made a plastic or rubber plug with a disk that protrudes from it and that would have worked perfectly. The second problem is a bigger one to me, it is the gap between the seat support and the back support, if you want to use the bench for sit-ups with the back support in a decline position be prepared for some serious back pain. If they made a little padded insert to go in that gap Id spend $30 on it right now... its that much of a problem. If you dont intend to do sit-ups it probably wont bother you much although I have not been doing decline bench presses so I can't be sure that it wont throw out your back. Fair warning, use the decline at your own risk. I feel the price should be a bit lower though it is built very sturdy and I saw some complain that they scratched theirs up upon assembly, I didn't have this problem but I did use my own tools which I suggest. The tools that come with it are throw away garbage that will probably just leave you frustrated. So thats my review, if they fixed the problems I addressed above Id give this 5 stars and wouldn't be bothered by the higher price tag. Would recommend this item with a couple of warnings.;;Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2017;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Solid bench with a couple problems;;KCPiranha;;;**Update** We're had this bench for almost a year and a half, use it at least 3x a week and it's still as good as the day we bought it. I honestly cannot say enough good about this bench. About a year ago, my husband and I are were looking for a simple, but good bench and ended up buying one for $70. We put it together and the thing was so wobbly that we thought for sure some screws had to be loose somewhere. Unfortunately, it was solely due to the poor quality of the bench and we had to be extremely careful when using it because it felt so unsafe. My husband lifts quite a bit of weight and isn't a little guy himself so I would grow seriously concerned that the brace would snap upon hearing the creaks and seeing the bench waver under the weight. I, myself, like to do bulgarian split squats and step-ups but didn't dare risk it on such a rickety bench. Aside from that, the brace would barely fit in the slots so there were a number of times that I slammed my fingers from the benches weight coming back down. A couple weeks ago as I was moving it out the way, down it came on my poor little fingers for the hundredth time. That was it. I was infuriated and would have been more so if the pain didn't feel like it was knocking me silly. I began researching good quality benches. I found this one and was drawn to it from the rave reviews on it's stability and insane weight capacity. No, it isn't cheap but after my husband put it together last night, I didn't regret a single penny spent on this bench. He laid down on it and it didn't budge an inch. I'm still in awe at the quality of it and I can already tell that it will last us for years to come. If you want to invest in a good quality bench, look no further.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Astonishingly awesome bench;;Vaughan24;;;Decent bench for basic home use. The bench is very sturdy and easy to adjust. Decline is not as much as you will find in a gym but works well. My biggest complaint is that with the seat in line with the back in the flat or declined positions, there is a huge gap between the pads. With the seat being as short as it is, my butt always rests between the two on the hinge points when doing situps. While it is not uncomfortable, it minimizes the effectiveness of the limited decline since the lower part of the back pad then acts as a lumbar support instead of allowing your muscles to do the work.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2016;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Good bench, big gap;;NUMCV88;;;First off, as soon as you open the box, nay, as soon as you LIFT the box you're immediately aware of the quality. Cheap, poorly made products simply don't weigh this much. Regardless of weight though, upon opening the box to sort out the pieces for assembly the quality is instantly felt in the hands & observed ever so delightfully with the eyes. The assembly was surprisingly simple & yet the construction is as solid as a battleship. I wanted a bench that could take everything I could throw at it and then some, and although I've only just received it, I have no doubt that this will fulfill that desire without exception. I will be testing it thoroughly and update my review if it is warranted. As it stands, highly recommended. Cheers,;;Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Instantly Pleased;;E.S.J.B;;;Great bench. Has all the positions I wanted for flat, incline and decline. Feels solid once put together. I took half a star for somewhat murky instructions and half a star for the mechanism that adjusts seat angle, which is the only part of the unit that does not seem rock solid. It may be just fine but only time will tell. I'm very happy with this bench. I tried a couple less expensive benches but the either lacked sufficient padding, were wobbly, or didn't have all positions I wanted. For what I wanted, this was the least expensive model and it is a winner.;;Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2016;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Worth the cost over the cheaper alternatives;;Justin
