abunda_amazon_reviews Gorgeous desk, but with a pretty big drawback. It's pretty heavy, but doable to put together on your own! I believe it took me about six hours, and I'm generally on the slow end when it comes to furniture. The instructions included were pretty thorough and easy to follow. The printer stand is great! I use it like a little vanity corner instead, but it would definitely be convenient for a printer as well. My biggest complaint is the surface. Good god, what is it even finished with, tissue paper? I've had this maybe three months and it already has various nicks in the red finish of the tabletop and the edge is wearing off. I'm extremely careful with it; I avoid put anything down without a coaster or something under it to project the surface and still! Definitely don't go with this desk if a scratched/spotty surface will bother you. They're small, but they're there, and steadily increasing in number. I'm not sure what I can even cover it with to increase durability.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2019;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Very easily scratched surface!;;Olga S.;;;I love this desk. The customer service is also great. A piece arrived damaged and they quickly sent a replacement with no fuss. One problem I have with it is that the drawers are not flush with the sides. They work perfectly fine, but when closed, they are slightly lopsided. The other problem is that the finish chips off and scratches easily. I've had the desk for less than a year and the diagonal edge is very worn. The diagonal edge being worn is somewhat expected, since that's the most likely place to receive wear and tear, but the desk surface also has light specs scattered all over the place from where the finish has chipped off from who knows what. The top piece is such hard material that it was very difficult to screw in the KD bolts. I had to rest after doing 2, and there were 11. I am not sure I got some of them in all the way, but it still went together fine. The real problem was the drawers. After wrestling with them for a while I finally got them done and in, and the bottom one did not align well, and both felt rickety when I pulled them in and out. It took me about 3 1/2 hours to do it by myself, but I was constantly assuming that the piece I was looking for must be mislabeled or missing because I let other people’s reviews get in my head. The top is attractive, I will say that. The instructions are so poorly written as to be impressive. There are labels inserted changing the numbers of pieces. Hardware was missing. Pieces had also been changed so that they did not match up with the instructions or the correct part number. Some pieces had no designation. There were even extra screws that didn't belong to this kit. We are very mechanical and can build anything, but this was problematic. The actual design is not well engineered and the materials don't look like they will hold up well. That said, we started building before we realized how much of a problem we were going to have.
