abunda_amazon_reviews I was very impressed with this generator. i have a few other 'yellow' generators and I am glad i made the switch. At first I was dumb and impatient and tried to start it right after I put the wheel kit on it and connected the battery and propane line. To my surprise it would not start. Well.. you need to put the supplied oil in it first (safety feature). Duh.. Once I put the oil in it it fired right up and ran perfect. The propane function worked great. For the first test of 3 hours we ran our camper AC, LED TV, Charged the dual batteries with no issues. The generator was about 20 feet away and we didn't hear it much while the TV was on. The generator didn't change pitch much so we knew it was not struggling to keep up with the load. The gas function is a bit louder, but most people will not notice. While on gas for a hour we were able to run the AC, Fridge, TV, Charge batteries AND run the microwave (5 minute intervals to heat water and have tea). There is a difference is wattage output with gas opposed to propane, so do your calculations correctly or the generator will bog down and might shut off. The wheel kit was easy to put on and works great. The black and dark orange looks really cool, and is more scratch resistant then my other 2 'yellow' generators. The shipping box is a pain. It weighs 100lbs and had no really good lift points without a dolly. I just broke the box open by my front door and built it there. Once built the wheel kit makes the generator very simple to move and is a solid design. I would advise getting a hand to move it, or a dolly if you are not going to build the generator where it is dropped off. Great find and so far it has been really reliable for the price. It is perfect for what I need and very easy to operate and store. We are over 20 hours running now and the generator still starts and sounds like new.;;July 9, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Very Impressed;;W. K. Holton;;;After assembling the unit and filling with oil and gas, once I turned the fuel petcock to the on position, fuel began to spill out of one of the fuel lines that was busted at the junction. Good thing I saw it before attempting to start or things could have gotten messy. Since it was close to the valve I was able to cut off the part of the line that was busted and reattach. Overall, about a 30 -45 minute job. Once this was done, it started on the first try and ran fine. The bottom of the frame was bent in shipment as well but damage was only cosmetic. For some unknown reason, the top of the fuel tank collapsed. I can only assume that this was caused by vacuum - it looks like someone stepped on top of the fuel tank. Next, the machine has a tendency to hunt but that did straighten out after a few minutes of run time. Now the big one - the carburetor developed a leak. Serious enough that if I hadn't caught it, I have no doubt that a fire would have developed. I'm not all that sure that the advertised rated power is correct. Battery was fully charged and, after following manufacturer's start up, it fired right up with both fuel sources. My only complaint is the oil fill. That is correct, it just does one or the other, not both at the same time, which renders it pretty useless for me as a backup generator - am I supposed to turn the lights off in the cabin so I can use the 220v water pump? This also is the point where I noticed that the round 220v plug I have doesn't fit in this generator (a little warning to a prospective buyer of what type of 220v outlet it used would have been nice).
