Best grill you will ever purchase.
As a Weber 22" owner for 14 years I can attest to how good of a job they do. After back and forth debate with myself over getting another 22" or not, I ordered the 26.75 as a replacement for my 22" which still has some life left in it even though it has sat outside in the weather the entire time year round. The legs have gotten somewhat wobbly and the grill surface doesn't sit level and it was just generally tired and beaten looking. I had been looking at the 26.75 for some time and decided to just do it. On the 22" there never seemed to be quite enough room. More than two racks of ribs placed flat was impossible, more than one cut up chicken was not doable, a big pork butt or kabob baskets etc is tight. I did a 14 lb. turkey at Thanksgiving on my 22" and though it was good, it was marginal in space. I have read where the 26.75 will accommodate a full 17 lb. brisket easily. Another person can do 3 pork butts. With a 14 lb turkey on the 26.75 there will be room for side dishes. So I am looking forward to the extra room and better heat control on the 26.75. And if I want to do both a butt and some chickens I can. I can have extra to take to work or if I want I cook enough for the guys in the shop. Compared to the 22", too many people on numerous sites have said that once you get the 26.75 there is no going back. So I don't question the purchase at all. As an experienced Weber owner I have no hesitation to give a Weber five stars based on the quality of the food you can produce using it and how well the grill itself is made and holds up over time. I have read where a number of people complain that the one weakness is the thin metal, hollow legs. Here is a suggestion that I am going to try with the legs when I get my new Weber . I am going to spray foam fill in the legs (essentially make them solid) which should possibly offer more rigidity, stability and support. I have done it with PVC pipe and a hollow fiberglass rake handle in the past to strengthen it. Just keep the foam a couple inches short of where the leg end meets the kettle due to heat and I think it should help with it.

Cheap junk trading on the name
Bought the Weber because, hey, it’s a Weber, right? Maybe the bowl is legendary (time will tell) but the rest is cheap material and bad design. - One leg doesn’t align properly in the socket (yes, I tried both, even though they’re supposed to be ambidextrous) resulting in a twisted leg that gouges the axle. - The leg attachment system is absurd: you must insert a spring pin into the socket, and then hope the pin pops through the hole in the leg once it’s fully inserted. It almost never did, leaving me to fish around with an awl to coax the pin into alignment with the hole. - The nuts that attach the lid handle are cheap stamped sheet metal, not actual solid nuts, and one doesn’t engage the handle threads (would you trust a heavy, burning hot lid attached by one cheap nut and barely a thread on the second?). - The legs are made of ridiculously thin metal. One came with a kink on one side. - The hinged parts of the upper grate have about half a inch of slide play, such that they won’t close unless you make sure they’re centered. - The nuts (cheap split aluminum) that hold the lid caddy wire to the bowl block the upper grate from lifting out without jockeying it. Hope I never have to try it with food on it. - Once assembled, the whole thing can wobble because the bowl twists a bit on the legs. Can’t tell if it’s because of cheap materials or poor attachment design. A Weber should feel sturdy, not like a top-heavy ballerina with a hangover. No way I’m disassembling this thing to return it. I’m sure charcoal gets hot in it, and I’m sure I can smoke in it, but that true in a zillion other grills too. The quality just isn’t there, kids. If I wanted cheap junk I’ve paid half of this for a CharBroil at Home Depot. I should’ve stepped up to a Kamado Joe, on sale at Costco. Addendum: this Spring I rolled it out of the garage (level, paved surface) after sitting still over the winter, and a wheel fell off.

Need to grill for a party? This may be the one for you!
So you like the smell of charcoal burning in the backyard? Not down with those gas grills and all of their luxury. Need to cook for a party? This may be the grill for you. First, the size: I had a 22-inch before which I was able to bbq a 25lb turkey in with little trouble. This feels HUGE in comparison. It still takes up a similar footprint so that is not so bad. The lid is heavy. My father, the grill master who taught me, is getting older but he found it taxing to lift. Second: the ash catcher. Really good design, but it can be a bit hit and miss getting it locked in after emptying it. Lastly: Weber customer support. The item shipped with a bolt missing from the very cool lid holder. I called up and the customer service person got a new hardware pack sent out same day for free. No muss, no fuss.

Deeez nuts
As others have mentioned, the lid handle nuts are not the right ones. They won't thread onto the bolts. So on a $300 purchase, Weber can't include the right hardware to assemble it?

The best grill!
I had many grills so far and at least three of them were webers including genesis and kettles. As for size, this is the best grill I ever had. So, one can easily cook enough food to feed the whole party; and cooking with indirect heat, which setting diminishes cooking space is also easy because there is enough space for food on the grate. Temperature management is awesome! With 2-3 fire bricks, foil, and tray with water I had stable 225F for 5 hour's (see attached pictures). The only concern is about package -- rattling parts in the box left couple of dings on the brand new surface! Dear Weber, I know you do care! Please, fix grill legs or whatever is scratching grill inside the box better.
