abunda_amazon_reviews UPDATE: 5/4/2018: I have uploaded a new video to show how the grill has fared over the last year of use. Spoiler Alert - It's awesome. It might take Amazon a while to replace the old video so check back if the old one is still up. This is a review of the Weber 46110001 Spirit E210 Liquid Propane Gas Grill. I purchased my Weber, fully assembled, from a big box Home store. Assembly is not all that difficult for this grill but I was very happy to have been able to purchase it already assembled at no extra cost to me. Big bonus. I had just returned another 2-burner LP gas grill made by KitchenAid (manufactured by Nexgrill) that turned out to be insufficient for several reasons. The biggest complaint I had about that other grill was that it just could not generate enough BTU's to properly sear meats I was attempting to grill. That plus the fact that the grill was a wire grill rather than a cast iron grate (which retains heat much better than a wire grill) made it a poor choice on my part. So I returned it. The Weber is overall a much higher quality grill in all regards. The materials used in its construction are superior. The side tables fold down for compact storage, but they do not accidentally detach and fall off the grill like the side tables did on the KitchenAid grill. Although there are plastic hooks along the edge of both trays for hanging grill tools from, they are somewhat inset so unless your tools have a hanging loop rather than just a hole through the handle, you may not be able to utilize the hooks. The Weber has a front access door for the LP tank. The KitchenAid had no front access to the tank, nor did it have a door covering the tank, You had to spin the grill around and access the tank from the back. The negative aspect of the LP tank storage area is that the hanger for the tank is also an ill-designed scale. It's difficult to hang the tank on the hanger and the scale is difficult to read and of questionable accuracy. The KitchenAid had a tiny drip tray, this Weber E210 has a large drip tray with an easy to replace aluminum tray liner. Another thing I don't care for with this Weber is that the igniter only works for the left side burner and then the flame carries over to the right side burner when you turn that one on, once the left side burner has been lit. I would prefer to be able to ignite either burner individually. But that's not a major big deal I guess. I chose to buy this in the black version rather than the stainless steel version because I feel the black surfaces will be much easier to keep clean than the stainless steel. In spite of the few deficiencies of this grill the Weber was definitely a better value than the KitchenAid grill. It cost $100 more than the KitchenAid grill, but the quality and end result is worth it.;;May 2, 2017;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Excellent materials and build quality. Cast iron grates are great for better searing;;M. Erb;;;Weber grills are expensive, but they seem to be worth it. Control knobs rotate a full 270 degrees rather than the typical 90 degrees for much better heat control. The fat drip system is well designed to eliminate the mess you usually get with cheaper grills. Comes to grilling temperature very quickly. Best grill I ever owned.;;February 14, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Best grill I ever owned.;;David Richard;;;The Spirit E-210 has been replaced in the Weber gas grill lineup with the Genesis series, which is likely why this model has dropped significantly in price in the past few months. I liked the design of the Spirit model over the Genesis model, which differs mainly in that the Sprit E-210 has a closed design, with a door on the front, enclosing the gas bottle; as opposed to the Genesis II E-210, which has an open design in which the gas bottle goes on the outside. I also liked that the Spirit model is currently $150 cheaper than the Genesis. Assembly was not difficult, and was aided immeasurably by the logical organization of the parts and the clear instructions. Everything fits just so, a tribute to the build quality. Cooking on the grill is very easy, and although I was worried that two burners would not be enough for indirect cooking I have found that a single burner can keep the temperature in the 350 to 450 degree range, with the hood closed, more than enough heat to cook a whole chicken or a pork or beef roast. I use a probe thermometer to gauge doneness, as I do in my electric oven in my kitchen. With both burners going full bore the hood thermometer registers 600 degrees after a reasonable (10 - 15 minute) warm up period. That temp will likely vary as cold weather hits my southwestern Virginia location. In short this grill does everything I wanted in a gas grill, and it fits (with the side trays folded down) in a very small footprint on my deck. I found a grill cover Grill Cover, Weber Grill Cover 7106 Heavy Duty Waterproof all Season 52-Inch BBQ Grill Cover for Weber, Brinkmann, Jenn Air, Ducane, Coleman, Charbroil, Big Green Egg, Viking on Amazon that was less expensive than the Weber brand cover, and it keeps my new grill perfectly dry, lacking only the Weber logo of the "official" cover. I highly recommend this, but I also recommend checking out the Genesis series, which offers some technology perks the Spirit series does not. For the price I liked the Spirit E-210 better, as well as the simplicity of the older model, which appeals to me as an old guy.;;September 14, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;A Great Deal For the Price;;Rick Buchanan;;;I grill for 2 people nightly - and occasionally four. This grill works perfectly for my needs. It provides even heat at about 525 degrees (depends upon ambient temperature)... some areas of the grill are hotter than others - you get to know your grill ... but the whole provides a roasting heat - so that a whole chicken will be brown all over instead of only seared on the fire-side ... (unless you keep the top up- if that's what you'd like). I've had the grill for two years - if it broke tomorrow, I'd get another. I considered getting the step-up version with larger wheels and an exterior tank holder... I don't miss either feature. The tank meter works great (essentially a spring scale that shows when your tank is light and thus almost out of gas). I love this grill.;;December 16, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great small grill;;jackifus
