Nice and clear optics, capped turret adjusters make it best for zero and forget

Works great on my 6.5mm Creedmoor but I do wish the turret adjustments weren't under caps. You can get snap on turret knobs, but that's another $100 or so. Clear glass and very bright. Good magnification. I've only shot out to 200 yards with it so far but no complaints from me. The turret knob thing is on me for not noticing it before purchasing. It's more of a zero for 100 or 200 yards and forget it kind of scope. If you are wanting to shoot different distances, maybe look for something with external adjustment knobs. Or if it's a screaming good deal on price, you won't be disappointed in optic clarity.

Not worth the money, even at this price point.

I bought this scope based off of all the reviews it gets. I’m guessing that many of the reviews are from first time scope buyers. I compared this to 3 other scopes I have, and it was severely outclassed by all 3 in optical clarity on the same magnification settings. One is a Leupold VX2 3-9x, a bushnell elite 3500 3-9x, and a redfield revolution 4-12x, and I paid less for all 3. Granted none of them go up to 18x like the vortex, but 18x is worthless if what you’re looking at is cloudy. An even worse issue was the eye relief. It’s terrible on all magnifications. The only reason I didn’t give this scope 1 star was because I never mounted it and fired it, so I don’t know how well it would hold zero and how positive the clicks are. Didn’t bother checking. Felt like I was looking through a Leapers or Barska scope.

have shot over 40 rounds with it an really enjoy it. so far I have no complaints

bought this scope for on a 6.5 creedmoor ruger American predator. have shot over 40 rounds with it an really enjoy it. so far I have no complaints. did need higher ring bases to clear the 44mm end. overall i think it's a great buy. my hat came in black not camo though.

Great bang for your buck

Very clear and well made. I put it on my savage stealth with no issues. I was able to shoot sub moa groups after sighting it in. Very happy for the price! I have not used it in low light yet. The group of 4 just above the bull in my picture is where I settled. 2” high at 100yds should put me dead on for my 6.5 creedmoor at 200.

Worst decision ever

Bought 1 of these wouldn’t stay zero sent it back and got another and had the same issue. I don’t recommend this scope to anyone! Now I’m stuck with a $200 scope that won’t zero

Amazing scope for the price

You will have a hard time finding a better scope for the price. The glass looks good, not amazing like my Zeiss, but damn good considering the price range. Holds zero, adjustable turrets work well, removable sunshade, and a hot to top it off. Vortex delivers another quality product at a great value.

Mounted on large caliber semiautomatic with NO issues.

Very nice optic for the money. Sight is as clear as my Trijicon and has held up very well. Exposed to snow, water, dust, and a heafty drop on to gravel. Will buy Vortex again and again at a fraction of big name optics.

Installation Issue due to poor documentation.

This is actually an easy installation. The problem is both Henry and Vortex want you to hire a gunsmith. A gunsmith is not necessary. Both the cheap Weaver and the Picatinny rail are easy to install. Getting someone to point you in the right direction is problematic.
