abunda_amazon_reviews Update June 2018: Overall the bike is good - BUT PLS BE AWARE. See the rest of my review. I have paperwork to prove it. Instead of just keeping the bike, I will request a talk with management. I should not have to make a repair for their misconfiguration! Next time, I will save my money and go with a bike that already has everything. This bike, I keep having to tinker with it. If I have to do it again, I'm cutting my losses and trading it in. The people who spec'd it, I no longer trust! So for that, I am taking it down to 2 stars really because I just found out that the Tiagra (while it was a newer derailleur) doesn't quite work with Shimano Sora...not this version. Which means gears skip on certain levels. If I were mostly level and moderately hilly terrain, I would likely rarely notice it. But since I am on extreme hilly terrain, the bike will be much more sensitive. The bike shop identified the error and I have to downgrade my derailleurs to fit the shifters (or reverse the process and spend tons more money). That said, you get what you pay for. I give 1 STAR to the owners who spec'd this out. I won't buy from them again. I cannot trust this kind of oversight. I don't know if it was deliberate or a very serious mistake. I give the bike 3 stars on most of the components and the fix is about $60. I should not have to pay for this. Update May 2018: I've been riding this bike since last year. It's going great. I actually did get to 25 mph on it several times and still going strong. It's fast and light. Love it. I did upgrade the wheels to Mavic Aksiums. I got them at a great price. I've upgraded the seat. I upgraded the brakes to Shimano 105s and I upgraded the pedals to Shimano Ultegras (got a great price on sale and similar design to Dura-Ace but less price). It's time for a tune up. The paint holds up fine so far too and I scrubbed several times but still looks fine. I'll keep you posted! #########END UPDATE######### I rode my bike for the first time last night. It's certainly fast. I will post updates here. The bike itself is 4 stars all the way just because of the frame and components. I give 3 stars to the description because it shipped with damaged spokes & because the wheels said 28 but shipped with 23s and the frame can really only go up to 25 which is fine. The shop fixed the spokes at no cost to me. I will get those tires later. The bike is a winner and upgradeable. It certainly stands side by side with $1k bikes with similar or even less. I'll post my upgrades shortly. I am excited and love my bike!!!;;Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2017;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Love the bike! Was able to hit 32mph on a straight under my own power (Cateye bike computer). Shifts like a dream, super smooth and incredibly quiet! Even when cranking hard up an incline had no slip and the chain stayed put(sometimes chains on cheaper bikes skip or jump off the crank when you really get on it). Pretty light at 22 lbs. for the 56cm frame. Everything seems to be sturdy, good construction, decent frame. Tires are listed here as a 700x 25c but they ARE NOT, I received a set of 700 x 23c on mine. Not sure if this is a misprint or just an isolated incident with my order, no biggie, less rolling resistance, but they are also more prone to pinch pops if not up to minimum 110psi. I have been riding the bike for a week now and have not had a single problem with them, so just throwing it out there. The crankset is solid and the front derailluer is decent. The rear Tiagra derailluer is a great unit. The chain glides with ease, and as mentioned before VERY quiet. Things that should be thrown out before your first ride - The saddle is probably the most uncomfortable that ive ever sat in, but doubling up on my gel cycling shorts made it tolerable. Brakes suck, they stop, but you really have to squeeze'm. I didnt even look at the pedals, just thru them out and replace with some Shimano SPD clipless pedals off my old bike. All in all, im VERY satisfied with this purchase.
