Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The A50 from Veikk is quite the tablet for it's price. Competing with Huions and XP-PENs that rival the A50 in features but don't quite hit fully. The tablet does use all 8192 pressure levels and was tested in Krita, SAI, and online drawing applications. It is listed to work with much more though. The tablet is rather large for someone with a small desk, more on that later though. The tablet gave some installation troubles at first. But after reinstalling the drivers, and running the application in Administrator, it fixed all the issues. There is no lag when drawing fast, and it picks up the lightest of presses and the heaviest of them as well. The construction is very good on both the tablet and the pen. Though the slightly wobbly USB connection does make me wonder about future usage. There is a very... odd sound that comes from the pen nib pressing against the tablet. Headphones will drown out that sound though. The 2 pen buttons, 8 express keys, and the gesture pad are all mapable to any commands or actions you want. As I finish off this review, I'd like to talk about why the A50 is not your best choice. The A50 has a cooler little brother named the A30. Also from Veikk is the A30 drawing tablet. At only $39.99 and being almost the exact same in every way to the A50 only varying in one area (that being the A30 has 4 express keys instead of 8). The A30 is my recommendation if you are on a budget, don't care about 4 more keys, and you are looking for Veikk. The VEIKK A50 drawing tablet is a great tablet overall, especially when you consider the price. At the price point of $45 dollars, this tablet delivers a drawing experience that is responsive and enjoyable. When the tablet arrives and you open the box you will see that it comes with the tablet itself, a pen (with pen cover for easy travel and protection), USB type-c plug (to connect to your windows computer or mac), nib remover and some extra nibs. Basically, it comes with all the basics that you will need to start drawing digitally. All you have to do is plug it into your computer and from there install the drivers. Driver installation is simple for this device. After you visit the company's website all you have to do is download an all in one driver that works across all of their products and restart your computer and then you are good to go. So far I tried this tablet with Corel Painter 2019, Photoshop (latest Version), and Rebelle 3. Corel Painter and Rebelle 3 both worked well without any problems. The pressure from the pen worked great and I was able to control my line weight perfectly while feeling natural. However, I encountered a problem with Photoshop. For some reason, Photoshop didn't detect that my pen had pressure sensitivity which caused the pen to act as if it were a mouse (so no pressure sensitivity). Therefore I contacted the support team and they sorted it all out In no time. Other than that the tablet worked as expected and I highly recommend it.     • Great tablet, even a decent substitute to the old wacom intuos 3
It's definitely a decent built tablet, it's small enough not to take much space but wide enough to have the proper drawing area, I actually replaced my old wacom with this tablet which had the same drawing space but was much bigger than the Veikk tablet in over all size, the Veikk tablet is more responsive than the intuos 3 tablet I used until now, doesn't lag at all feels nice and smooth and has a good range of pressure sensitivity. I have used it less than a week and so far so good, the true test will be of time to see how long the nibs will hold on and how long the tablet surface will be usable in the long run without being overused, there's no surface that you can remove so I would assume you will have to buy a new tablet after much wear and tear, which if done every 3-5 years is not a big deal since the price of the tablet is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend it for both pros and beginners, I am working on a real project with this tablet and I haven't noticed any issues. ... show more

    • Great drawing tablet under $60
After a while of using Veikk's s640 I saw this tablet was coming out and decided I should try it. I could not be more pleased, this drawing tablet has everything you could want for the price, with 8 shortcut keys, a touch pad, 8192 levels of pressure, a battery free pen, and a usb type c connector. The A50 has performed flawlessly so far, there may be a few kinks here and there but over all I haven't had any major issues, all issues I have run into were driver based and can be easily fixed. It works in every art program I have tested it with, this includes Fire alpaca, Krita, Photoshop, Paint tool sai, Autodesk Sketchbook, Open Canvas, drawpile, and more. All in all I think that the A50 is a great for the money and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into digital art or artists looking for a great budget option. ... show more

    • Great beginner value, but not exactly user-friendly
I generally don't like to give reviews right away, but I might as well. Does it connect to my device (Macbook Pro)? Yes, but the directions aren't exactly clear; I had to go online to double-check to make sure everything was done correctly. Does it draw? Yes, but using the quick keys isn't intuitive; as a matter of fact, I'm still trying it out. But it does work, and I feel pretty OK about it so far, and the low cost definitely helps; if it turns out drawing isn't my thing, I didn't drop a ridiculous amount of money on this. Good value overall, although be prepared to spend more time figuring out how to use it than you might have expected. ... show more
