abunda_amazon_reviews I use this cable with my USB microphone. Works perfect. I recommend this cable for anyone who is looking to convert their microphone.;;Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great cable for converting a usb microphone;;Amazon Customer Rick H.;;;This does what it's supposed to, connects a mic directly to a USB input. I use it almost every day. I have a good quality vocal mic and use that to go into my laptop for teleworking conferences and also for an online-open mic. So much better than the laptop mic. This interface works ok. It does introduce some noise, but it's not noticeable in these contexts, but it does show up in recording. I can't use it for recording - it has a hum. But as I said, it's great for Zoom or Skype etc. It also doesn't feel as solid as I'd hope. The connection to the USB seems like it may eventually break. It's hasn't yet, but it does feel a little cheap.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2020;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Pretty good;;JJE;;;3 terrible things about this cord, as you can see in the pictures. 1st, something I know is merely a design flaw, not an error on their part. The usb connector is huge and fat, making me unable to use the ports to the right or left of the cord, due to its fattness. Other usb cords have the chip in a box a bit back from the port so that the port isnt taken up by this cord's boated plastic. This is the first time I have seen this terrible design and it makes it so that I can only use usb at a time, which is not going to work out for me. That being said, this is a design issue, not bad production. Had this been the only issue I would have left a 4 star review. 2nd, the cord is noisy as all hell. As you see in the second pic, garage band is picking up about -30db of noise AND THERE IS LITERALLY NO MIC CONNECTED. It is only connected to my preamp which is connected to nothing, just this cord!! My preamp is picking up no noise at all, meaning around -30 of sound is coming completely from this cord itsself. Thats huge compared to my others which maybe put -55 maybe -50 on a bad day. I cannot use a cord putting out so much noise, especially when I'm recording acoustic instruments. No way. 3rd, the cord came with what looked like scratches/cuts/cracks to the cord just past the usb adapter. Maybe the rubber cracked in bad storage or maybe it just was fabricated incorrectly but either way, a 20 dollar cord has NO Business having damage straight out of the box. You can't see it in the picture because I have already spend a half hour taping it nicer, hoping it would fix the abundance of noise, to no avail. I'd like to think that the issues with the rubber cord is what made the cord so noisy, because I have NEVER seen a cord so widely acclaimed be such a useless piece of junk. I really hope they will send me a new one so I can update this review. Until then, Im stuck with this junky cord;;Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2020;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Must be defective. There is no way this bad of a cord has gotten this many good reviews;;Tommy T;;;Title says it all. Product would produce no sound over multiple computers and laptops when paired with a Shure SM48, AT2005, Behring XM8500, or Samson Q2U. Nothing on the listing says a phantom power source is required for Dynamics, only condensers. But, the small manual provided in the package, one of the last lines states, * Phantom Power is a must for this product * This defeats the purpose of the cable, as by the time you pay for this cable + an external 48v supply setup, you could purchase an entry level interface for a few dollars more.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2020;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Product produced ZERO sound on multiple machines while testing 5 different dynamic microphones.;;Chris Pinkert;;;Bought this on a whim, not expecting great results for about $20, but was pleasantly surprised. Already having a bit of experience and knowledge of pre-amp circuits, I skipped testing it directly connected to a mic - since for $20 you're not going to get a high-quality, high-gain, pristine sounding output signal. Instead, I connected it to the output of my analog mixer (Mackie 1402 VLZ-PRO), and was pleasantly surprised at the results. Of course it was easy for my mixer output to clip the adapter input, so I had to turn it way down, but that only helped the signal-to-noise ratio. Didn't do any extensive testing, as I needed to use this right away, but in a quick test, I could not hear any noise from the XLR-USB adapter. With the combination - mixer/USB interface, I can use any mic as as input, and drive the USB output to clipping if I want to. Would have been nice if the converter was 24 bits (yielding more dynamic range), instead of just 16, but for the cost, I guess I would have been surprised if it were 24 bits. Very pleased.;;Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;For the price, it works very well;;James Shoots;;;I bought this cable to plug a dynamic microphone into my computer for teleconferencing. It's either bad/defective, or it won't work for that. I tried 3 different mics, a Shure SM-57, Shure SM-58, and an Electro-Voice N/D308, plugged into 2 different computers, a MacBook and a HP laptop. All 3 mics are dynamic and don't need phantom power. I couldn't get any sound from any mic into either computer, and so I'm sending the cable back. Hopefully you have better luck.;;Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2020;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Either I got a bad cable, or it won't won't work for my purpose.;;BubbaHoTep;;;In setting up a small, portable home recording studio to track scripts, spots, demos, etc, I needed something easy that just plugs into my desktop. This cable is the perfect quality, length and price. Keep in mind, this is just enough length to go from floor to desktop. I'm not sure it would be suited for a full music and sound recording studio. The cable connection is the easy part. Figuring out your onboard Voice Recorder is another matter!;;Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;It Couldn't Be Easier To Use! Now, I Just Have To Figure Out How To Set The Levels!;;Doug S.;;;The application was to take a sound mix off of a Soundcraft Impact Board to a PC so it could be combined with video so our church service could be live broadcast on Facebook. This cable worked brilliantly and did exactly what we needed it to do. 4 Stars for Sound Quality as the broadcast sound was 90% of what we recorded locally. Quality of the materials was 4 stars because the XLR connector was a cheapy but rugged enough to stay put in the board Aux Output port. This is a great and simple solution to get sound onto a PC for recording or for broadcasting. Very easy to setup and is mostly plug and play. If you need a solution for a powered feed, it works great. If you need to pull a feed from a condenser Mic or a Mic that needs phantom power, nope! You need to go through a preamp to get there using this cable. Worth the buy and I highly recommend it.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2020;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;This cord assembly saved the day for a throw together church broadcast;;Karl Birch

This cord assembly saved the day for a throw together church broadcast
The application was to take a sound mix off of a Soundcraft Impact Board to a PC so it could be combined with video so our church service could be live broadcast on Facebook. Worth the buy and I highly recommend it.
