Description

Revolutionizing the Way You Change Your Strings. String-Ties a remarkable new guitar accessory. Not only does String-Tie make changing strings easier than ever, it may actually improve the musical tone of a strummed or plucked guitar. What is STRING TIE? String Tie is made of Galalith (milk stone), a chemical free, natural polymer derived from milk. Each set contains 6 amber-colored beads, one per string. Follow the 6 easy step instruction diagram on the back and there you go you have changed strings in minimum time and effort, plus, your guitar bridge looks nice and clean. The main advantage of String Tie is strictly a professional matter: a standard knot creates a certain angle between the bridge and the nut. The String Tie makes a more acute angle and thus enhances the tension on the nut. This results in a sound which is significantly more affected by the guitar's sound board. Another case in which String Tie is extremely helpful is when players want to reduce action (i.e. the gap between the strings and the neck). The common way to do it is by lowering the nut. In some cases, this broadens the angle between the knot and the nut which may cause various problems. By using String Tie, an acute angle is maintained.

abunda_amazon_reviews I put these on my Cordoba F7 guitar recently. I bought them for the purpose of tying strings fast and not creating grooves in the wood of the bridge from traditional tying. Well, it works perfectly for those purposes. I found changing strings very easy (not that it was hard to begin with, honestly), but it is clear that these will help protect the wood of my guitar. Other customers have commented on tonal changes and string height changes. Tonally, I have no comment. I put on completely different strings when I installed these, so the tone changes I heard are probably from that. As far as string height? Sorry, but these things will not change the height of your bridge or nut, so I believe those reviewers might be confusing these devices with changes resulting from new strings (different gauges) when they install them.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Ease of tying and bridge protection;;Apollinaire;;;I have been playing steel & nylon string guitars for 50 years and have NO problem properly tying nylon strings. However as age and arthritis have taken their toll I have switched back to nylon acoustics and lower the action. I recently purchased a Taylor 712eN cedar over rosewood and was getting excessive fret buzz (l have a very aggressive playing style which doesn't help) with my shaved saddle and after trying various combinations of string tension I read about these bridge beads and saw comments regarding angle of attack across the saddle. I restrung with Daddario XH tension and the beads. Maybe it's mental or wishful thinking fulfilled but there is just enough difference that things have cleared up and problem solved. Plus they actually look kinda cool (I strung them upside down so the cute logo doesn't show but the amber looks great against the ebony bridge and warm cedar top). They are very easy to install which is an added benefit if tying is not your strong point, and they will open a whole new selection of string manufacturers, materials and tensions to those who stick to ball ends for convenience. Shroff;;;When re-stringing, tying the knot for a nylon string at the bridge of a classical guitar can be challenging for me. While I usually get it right, sometimes the knot slips as I try to attach the upper end of the string to the tuning peg at the headstock, especially on the treble strings. With these bridge ties, that problem is completely alleviated. The knot is much more easily tied, and does not pose a challenge when attaching the upper end of the string. Also, and equally important, there is no loss of tone from using these bridge ties. Last but not least, I can have a bridge tie (sometimes referred to as "ball end") on any type of string I want. This is the second set, 1st was for one of my guitars, this set for my wife's(her first guitar). This is a great product and I am surprised that they are not on every classical guitar. I am not a classical player, I am self taught and I have played many acoustic guitars but this was my first classical guitar. That said, I am obviously not an expert, but I do know the tone I look for in various styles of music and I do recognize a good guitar. With the first set of String Ties, I wondered if the great improvement in sound was partly the strings but the strings are exactly the same as the ones on my guitar, so it is the String Ties that have made the difference. I believe that the direct contact of the String Ties to the saddle enhance the sound as they become part of saddle.
