This is a top notch product
I have only had the Helmet a short time. This is the 3rd Helmet I have owned for bicycle riding in 50 years. This by far is the best one for the price. I like the Comfort, Style and on hot days the air flow through the crown. MY old helmets would make my head sweat. I like the fact you can adjust the straps to fit your head and you get a sticker that you place on the inside of the visor with your name phone # Blood type and person to call in a emergency. The yellow design on the side of the helmet is great as a visible means for cars approaching. I bought the Black one.

Fits my 59cm oval head with no pain points
I tried A LOT of helmets here and most seemed to fit round heads. After looking at reviews of several helmets, I was between the Troy Lee, Giro Chronicle MIPS and the POC Tectal. Each one of these were better for oval shaped heads and of the three, the Troy Lee fit the best and was the cheapest too. I really liked the POC, it sat on my head perfectly but their M/L was just a hair too tight (which I thought would be a pain over a long ride) and the XL/XXL was too large -- it sat too low on my head and shifted even when tightened. The Giro fit well too but seemed to float a little on my head which didn't feel right, possibly part of the MIPS system -- but the Troy Lee (which isn't a MIPS design) was perfectly fitted without pain or movement when I shook my head.

Great Helmet
I purchased the TLD A1 helmet to replace an older helmet that had a broken rear size adjuster. I have been an avid cyclist for more than 20 years and this is my first TLD purchase. The helmet is very light with a lot of venting. I really like how the visor is adjustable. On my previous helmets, the visor was set in one position, which always wasn't the position I wanted it. Adjustments can be made easily with one thumb screw. This is the first helmet I've had that feels like the helmet is going over my head instead of just on top of my head. The feeling is hard to describe, but I feel like more of my head is protected with this helmet than previous ones I've had. I liked the helmet so much, I ordered a second one, which matches my other bike.

Helmet almost wrecked me!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Size adjustment stopped working on my 2nd ride. Going down steep section with drop and adjustment released causing helmet to fall forward and blind me. Good thing it was my home trial or I would have gotten wrecked. Total cheap junk!!!

BUY THIS HELMET
Lets start off with saying I have used a lot of helmets from racing 4 wheeler's, dirt bikes, bmx, freestyle bmx and now mountain biking. This helmet has been a good one already. The first time I wore it I took a fall and hit pretty hard on my head and this thing not only held up with little to no sign of impact (scuffs and scratches) but the visor did not break and hardly felt the impact. If you plan on doing a lot of down hill or big gaps/ drops this may not be for you. If you are looking for a well rounded helmet for the trails then look no further.

Great MIPS-less helmet!
Since MIPS has been accepted as the standard in helmet protection helmets have gotten bigger and more expensive. TLD has thrown us a bone and made the same helmet as the A1 minus the MIPS and bling. Result: a perfectly fitting, stylish and functionally simple and rad helmet at an affordable price. I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t find any other reputable brands offering a helmet like this. I hope TLD will continue to offer a line of MIPS-less helmets for us.

Light, comfortable, adjustable...... great buy
Usually ride downhill bikes with full face helmets but I have to give credit where it’s due. Troy Lee has done a fantastic job with the A1. Comfortable, breathable, and most importantly not too heavy. Color schemes are awesome. Personally got the yellow with black. Immediately out of the box I noticed the comfort level was way better than any Giro I’ve ever worn. Fitting is right on target. Adjustability is simple. For the price, great product. Can’t really beat it for a helmet under $100.

Breathable and light.
I bought this for my summer rides. It has way better ventilation than my other helmet. The only complaint that I have is that it is not near as comfortable as I thought it should be for the price I paid. Its comfortable but not as comfortable as other, less expensive helmets I've worn.
