    • Love the colour, rich and warm.
These boots are fantastic! I had the banana colour some years back and wore them a lot, so was so excited about the new colour . We live in a ski resort and these boots are practical and beautiful. I am a boot connoisseur, with over 30 pairs and a lover of Frye, I wear these more than my lace up Fryes. Good for all calves, mine are extremely narrow and I have an issue getting boots to look right. My girlfriend has bigger calves and she fit them as well, just loosen the laces So comfy to wear.     • Great boots!
These boots haunted me for a year and a half before I finally broke down and spent the money. I usually wear an 8 to 8 1/2 womens. I have fat wide feet so I ordered 8.5 wide (C/D). I am also a runner and horsewoman and I have big calves. Still, I trusted the true lace feature to save me and took the purchase leap. These boots are great, very well made, color is as shown. The fit lenthwse is true to size. I am glad I ordered wide because, even so, they are a bit narrow but will break in well I think. They barely fit my 17 3/4 " calves. If I lace them tight thy close to just enough, with no overlap at the tongue. But it's enough for me to keep them as I am totally in love w how they look and feel! ... show more

Finally found these bought after searching for a while. They are strictly for a skinny leg. The boot info said their was a side zipper and their was not a zipper so thankfully I was able to return and get my money back.. Maybe one day they will come in a wider width and I can purchase again. Great looking boot. ... show more

I decided on the timberland boot over another lace up boot similar in apperance but much more expensive. I wear an 8 and the boot fits perfect. I am small with thin muscular calves and the boot still laces up nicely. I really like the light weight and it was one of the decision makers in deciding which boot. Every time I wear them I get complements on them. The weather here in VT has been in the 20's and 30's with light snow and some slippery conditions and not once have I slipped in them. Although I won't wear them in deeper snow or real cold they're perfect for shopping/everyday. ... show more

    • small uncomfortable boot w/diff return instructions
I wear a 7.5. I ordered these in 7W, but they are definitely too small which I am NOT saying that is the company's fault. Just now in my opinion up size if your a mid size, but I do think the rest of the boot is not practical to work in and seems rather uncomfortable altogether so I am NOT reordering a larger size. Also I am struggling w/the return instructions. "PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR RETURNS FORM, INVOICE/AMAZON ORDER ID AND DETAIL OF ITEM BEING RETURNED AND WHY. Also, please remember to fill in the Commercial Invoice with the return Waybill number given, Date and Value." There is no returns form and my amazon invoice I found under my ordered item on line that I am printing does not have any mention of why I am returning it and I don't see a commercial invoice to put waybill info onto which may be my returns form as well IDK. I hope I don't lose my $170 just because of the precise return instructions that can't be followed. Your calf also needs to be thin and small for these boots. I am 150 lbs and 5'5" and not considered a lug but they barely lace up my thighs. ... show more
