  • Works if you have little space for a desk but the seat is torture
Color: Cherry Finish
This desk works well if you have very limited space and very few things that need to go on a desk. I use an all in one pc monitor and full size keyboard and they just barely fit on the desktop. One problem I have is that with the mouse platform at a comfortable height, they keyboard sits much to high and if I sit with the keyboard at the appropriate height, my monitor sits too low. So, keep these things in mind. A couple other things, it is fairly difficult to adjust the height upwards with the desktop loaded and the rollers on the legs cannot be used to position the desk once your computer is on it so you'll have to drag it around or take everything off the desk first if you want to move it. Oh and the stool, there are few things that are less comfortable. It is horrible. Thin padding stretched over a too small piece of wood guarantees pinched nerves and possibly hemorrhoids and I am not a big guy. This is the chair that Cardinal Ximénez and his Spanish Inquisition should have called for! I replaced it almost immediately with a chair that adjusts for tall seating. The desk sits too high at it's lowest level for a normal office chair. ... show more

  • Great Desk, not so great Seat
Color: Cherry Finish
This is a nice sketching desk, which I use while standing. I'm 6' 1" tall, and it works pretty darn well without too much bending over. If you're 6'3" or above you might be hunched over too much. For me it has been great so far, it's sturdy and functional. The pencil/pen holder can be moved to a side position where there are additional holes if you don't want it in the front. The side table can go on either the left or the right, which is nice, and it's easy to put it on either side. I also have a larger artist drawing tote board, the kind you might have back in college, and it sets up on top nicely if I want do do larger painting/sketch work. The desk isn't perfect, it arrived with a small bubble on the drawing surface, and a larger one on the foot rest. Both just under the wood finish, whatever that's made of. These defects one mine won't necessarily show up on yours however. What I will knock off one star for however is the seat. The padding is super thin, so thin it's like sitting on metal. It's an inch and a half of thickness at best, and that mostly compresses (I only weigh 145lbs). The fabric also doesn't prevent slipping forward very much when you're in an angled position with the seat. The seat itself only measures 12 inches across, and about 11 front to back. It's a neat idea, with the swing arm that allows you to put it to the side while it's not in use. Unfortunately it will likely stay there (or how I have it now, completely detached and set aside) unless I can somehow fashion a new seat for it. Despite the poor seat design, this desk is highly usable for sketching, 8.5 x 11, 11 x 17, and can even be used as a standing desk for computer work with the monitor attached to/sitting on something else. I've only had it for about a month, and will update on any new findings. As of now, I recommend if you're looking for a nice standing desk at a reasonable price (when they have it on sale), just don't bank on getting extensive use out of the seat. ... show more

  • Height Adjustment
Color: Cherry Finish
I liked most of the design of this desk. However, I have two issues, the lever that is used to adjust the height of the seat does not work that well. It is like the pin does not get release as the hole goes thru and it takes some work to adjust the height. My second comment is that I am about 5'4" in height. I did not know that the lowest option for the table would be good for me standing up. So, I lost height adjust for me of when I sit or when I stand up. What I had to do is adjust the seat to be higher, but now my feet are in the air. So, that is my problem. I wish the table would go lower in height for shorter people. ... show more

  • Great for kids
Color: Cherry Finish
I purchased this stand for my son. The seat portion is very small with minimum padding. Most would find it uncomfortable for anything but the shortest length of time. For a skinny 12 year old it is adequate. I like how he is more inclined to stand during those long Roblox sessions. Most of the stand can be adjusted and articulated to meet individual preferences. Probably best used with a laptop considering the size of the desktop surface. A desktop with long cables sitting on the floor might work, and the monitor and keyboard on the desk surface. ... show more

  • Perfect for my needs
Color: Cherry Finish
I love this desk. It is small enough that it doesn't feel obtrusive sitting in my kitchen but large enough to fit my laptop, a monitor, my headphones, mouse, phone, a small pad of paper and my drink. All I had to add was a shelf to put the extra monitor on. The stool is so convenient to use in a variety of ways (one leg, sit, push to the side) and is comfortable enough to use but not so comfortable that I forget to get up. The options for adjustments are also perfect for me The desk and seat are set so that I don't have to move the desk if I decide to sit but both can be adjusted up or slightly down if I needed. It may be a bit too tall however for someone shorter than I am (5'4''). I also love having the lower table for the mouse (and my drink) it is more comfortable to use and keeps me from knocking my drink or paper off the table when I move one of the other items. It is heavy to move around, I had planed on tucking it away after my workday but that isn't convenient. Other than that the desk works perfectly for my needs. well worth the money. ... show more
