    • Heavy but sturdy
App did not work on my kids galaxy tab A's, but once we were able to download the app we were very pleased with the results. I did a lot of shopping around and research before deciding on buying this particular hoverboard. I wanted something sturdy for my two teenagers and as soon as I took it out of the box could feel how stride it was. I will say it pretty heavy because of this (which is something i should have read in the description before buying) so I would recommend making sure the battery has a good charge before traveling too far from home. Although the battery has lasted a good amount of time for them so far, so it shouldn't be an issue. I just could see younger teens or kids struggling due to the weight, if it were to die and they had to try and carry it home. Overall, once we figured out calibrating and overall operation from downloading the manual it was fairly simple for them to learn and I am happy with my purchases. ... show more

    • Battery life and a little rougher terrain than pavement.
I have a 4 year old who is very tall, very coordinated, but also very light weight. He is is 95 percentile in height and 30 percentile in weight. He turned 4 on March 18, 2021. He learned quickly how to maneuver this thing. Being a 4 year old attention span only lasts so long... so does the battery life. He only weighs 38 lbs and it's not like he is going over ramps or even up steep hills. The battery seems to last about 45 minutes at the VERY MOST! Not to mention we ate not using the Bluetooth speakers or anything that might possibly cause the battery to die sooner. I thought for an almost 40 pounder kid,( which is not much weight at all) the battery life would be prime and last longer than 30 mins on a regular basis. 40 lbs and being generous when I say 45 minutes only because we slowly but gradually made it home. The positive side is the fact that I didn't end up having to carry it home. The last 15 minutes, I was having to drag my feet while encouraging him to not give up trying to ride it back to the house. I had to carry it once we got about 100 feet from our house. I know the more weight you add, the more battery power you will need. Can you imagine trying to enjoy this being over 100 lbs? Less than a month, about 40 lbs riding, not using Bluetooth or music, and we get a goodn15 minute ride. The other 15 minutes we get the warning that we need a charge, and the other 15 minutes is us crossing our fingers we can make it home while moving as slow as molasses. By the way. Ehile my little 4 year old rides I brisk walk at the most. It's not like we are getting risky and wild draining the battery. I am pretty sad and upset after all the research and thought I put into this. Advertisement on this product is a joke. Also. . No I am not loaded just trying to make excuses. Like many others, this toy was cool for around 30-45 days. Then it stopped charging. The instructions on lights status were horrible. Called Swagtron. Company (Swagtron) replaced it; simple process, no cost to us. Replacement was a refurbish, I think. Took longer to charge, sometimes had to wiggle connection, etc. Less than a year later, with minimal use (3-4 times a month), wheels are loose/wobbly and 2 weeks outside the warranty range. ... show more

We are very happy with our buy. My little girl (7 yr old ) was very quick to learn. The battery life seems to be pretty decent when compared to the different brands her friends own. Self-balancing is very helpful given the fact that she is a new user. We tried it as well and had some family fun time. We tried riding it on the pavement, wooden floor and carpet it works great but given the fact this is advertised as all terrain it didn’t move on grass hence the 4 star. Swagtron has a great product here! Between the battery life and sturdiness, you can't beat it. It is built for all ages. The offroad tires are a great benefit. The speakers are loud and the lights are the talk of the town. Swagtron has an app that you can adjust the speed, sensitivity, and even set it up for beginners. The app also tracks battery life! The wifi speakers work very well. The biggest highlight is the LIfePo batteries. They have twice the amp hours as its competitors, which means longer ride time. My 7 and 11 year old use it with ease. It stopped working a few months after purchase and I’m still trying to get an exchange or a refund !! DO NOT BUY THIS !!! Waste of money and you’ll end up with an unhappy child !!! I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 8 yr old son. He loves it! It is very sturdy and was easy to learn how to ride. The only thing I think could be better is the battery life. I know there are many factors that can affect how quick the battery dies down, but I still feel it should last longer than it does. ... show more
