Wanted a beach cruiser to be able to sit upright. I like the higher handlebars so I not leaning over. Being a larger bike with large tires it took 3 ppl to put it together-3rd person mainly held bike while tire was attached. There are instructions, but found those toward end. If you want something for rides around neighborhood, this is great. Ive put 30 miles on it w/o issue. I like that the seat is flat and wider than normal bikes. Reaching to adjust assit level or gears is not a natural reach. Gear shift was a little stiff at first, now after using it, it shifts better. I added a head light which was on my Schwinn & has a rubber band- the paint seems to be scratching off on handle bar where its attached. I need rear view mirror to keep track of anyone I ride with & it just seems the arrangement of everything attached to handle bars needs to be re-thunk. Its not a natural reach to chg gears or adjust asstist level. Would be great to have any kind of suspension. This bike does go quicker & seems to pedal more smoothly w/o assist than my reg bike.     • Ok but needs work in design
The bike overall is decent. It definitely looks great as a cruiser bike. I’ve found the battery life perfect for my needs riding casually with the family or around town running errands. The electric operation with pedal assist or scooter style is exactly what I wanted but the 2 things that lower the rating are the absolutely useless kickstand and the seat position. The seat is situated too far forward. There’s no way to adjust it to be farther back and I can’t raise the seat or it would be too high. I’m barely 5’1” and end up having to sit back past the seat and on the battery cage if I want to pedal. Otherwise my knees hurt when pedaling because of the awkward position. So most times I just use the scooter function and not the pedal assist. ... show more

    • Battery won't charge and instructions are VERY unclear
I watched the installation video several times. IT IS IMPERATIVE that you turn the front fork in the opposite direction from how it is packaged, otherwise, the front fender will not fit! The battery will not charge. The charging block shows that it is charging but after 24 hours when you turn the battery on, the indicator does not come on showing that the battery charged. Unfortunately, Amazon's only recourse is to return the entire bike and replace it with another one. The input charging cable connector didn't feel tight when I plugged it into the battery so I will try a different size charging cable before I go through the hassle of disassembling the bike and returning it for a replacement. I'm not sure why I can't just return the battery and charging unit for another one, but that isn't an option. You might want to charge the battery BEFORE you assemble the bike in case you have the same issue. It will save you a LOT of time. I am 5'3" and with the seat in the lowest position, I can reach the ground and the bike feels comfortable. If you are much shorter, you might have a problem riding this bike. The step-through feature is the only way I can get on this bike. If I can resolve the battery issue, I think this could be a good bike. Right now, it's only 48 hours old and it's been quite a hassle. Instructions are minimal at best, so read the reviews, Q&A section and watch each step of the video thoroughly to save yourself a lot of headaches! ... show more

Again, I hate the kickstand! Whomever designed that should find a new job!

Very happy with this bike. It was really easy to assemble, just had to put the handlebars on and the front wheel. The brake lines and everything are already installed. I only had to do minor adjustments to the brake pads. The battery life is excellent. I took it out twice on one charge with my wifey for almost a half hour each and there is still plenty of battery life. Everything is sturdy and well-built. It had three modes of pedal assist that go from subtle to strong acceleration or you can go full on 100% electric driven, but you have to be up to speedGreat quality for the price.
