The installation is easy, but if you have a small electric drill with hex bits, you can save a bunch of time and energy. Takes 10 minutes to put it together with the right tools. It's more substantial than the low price suggests, the box is quite heavy and the frame is sturdy. Comes with a wall anchor for stability. One of my frame parts were welded on the wrong side at the factory, so I reached out to the customer service email provided on an insert, not hoping much. However, they were super responsive and responded in one day, although there's a bit of lag in communication since they're based in China. Within 3 days of reaching out, the replacement part arrived from a regional warehouse so I didn't have to wait for anything to be shipped from China. We have purchased four sets of these now for our wool shop The Felted Desert in Arizona, and they are great! They were fairly easy to put together and were quite sturdy once assembled. I really like the angled shelves in the center, they are great for holding boxes, books, etc… We cut and added extra shelves in between the actual shelves and painted them black which matched well with the iron, and gave us double storage. Everything was perfectly packaged, the box was pristine when it arrived, I thought, "At last! A delivery with no hang-ups!" Nope. It was easy to assemble except for one thing. One of the lower parts that slid into an upper part didn't have the holes needed to run screws in to put it together. Fortunately, my landlord has the perfect drill and helped me out. Sorry for only a 4-star rating, but it should've been quality checked a lot better (if they even do that). Apart from that, it's a great bookshelf and fulfills the need I have for it. ... show more

Although it says the shelves are adjustable it looks awkward if you don’t assemble it like the photos. I did run into issues stripping the screws because I used a drill but it was worth it because it would be hard to do by hand. The holes in place do not go far enough in to simply screw in using the tools provided. ... show more

I'm a 5ft 3 woman 145lbs. I'm taller than the bookshelf. Assembly was easy. I did myself with just the tools provided. Took me an hour. It looks nice. Overall I'm happy with the product. 4 stars because I thought it was bigger. Some of the pics in the reviews have 5 shelves. My purchase was 4 shelves. It's a shelf... it looks nice... easy enough to build... kinda heavy when in the box... overall it's good... lights are hard to keep on due to the metal bars having many bends but nothing some double sided tape didn't fix later. (Lights are more of the led lights being cheap then the shelf tho)
