abunda_amazon_reviews First impressions are everything I suppose, so when I had to fix this thing before I even tried to use it, I had some concerns. First off, the packaging, while impressive from an engineering standpoint, made it impossible to put back in the box for a return. It wasn't until I had it fully assembled that I realized there was some major problems. The pull rope attached to the handle was off the track and underneath the roller. You have to un-assemble the major part of the unit to fix this. When taking it apart, I noticed the two halves of the unit were a very poor fit and seemed to out of alignment. This was due to there being one screw for the housing screwed in on top of another, and one left completely out (which I imagine is the one that was doubled up...) After taking the whole thing apart, fixing the rope alignment, and putting all the screws in the correct place, all seems well. As for the operation, I'm not impressed. If this was a fan resistance only model, I would find a way to put it back in the box and send it back as it is absolutely useless with the fan resistance only. Since this also has magnetic resistance, with it turned ALL THE WAY to 8, it seems like a mild to low-medium work out. I can't see it being useful past a month or two when you build up some cardio using it. I'm kind of a big guy, but no giant monster by any means. I was way disappointed by the resistance it provides. I've used these in gyms a million years ago when I was younger, and they would tire you out quick on med settings. I don't feel like this thing has any challenge for a 50 year old out of shape man. It may be ok for smaller people under 150 lbs or so?;;Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2018;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Not a great experience. You may want to look for something better.;;Mike;;;Update: May 2019: Although not the swiftest responders, Sunny did make it right by sending out another unit which worked flawlessly. I can't move the review to 5 stars because the transaction wasn't perfect but eventually, all was made right. I would buy it again. My wife suffers from a lot of joint pain so we decided to buy a rower for the low impact exercise it provides. Researched and decided upon the Sunny SF-RW5730, a combination Magnetic/Air Resistance rower. As it has been pointed out in other reviews, once it's out of the packaging, it's not going back in. I assembled it in less than an hour following the fairly easy directions. Pulled back on the handle in anticipation of the silent magnetic tension only to hear horrific grinding/scraping noise. Adjusted the tension to various settings...no relief. Screech, screech, screech with every rotation of the flywheel. So I removed the cover and saw that the magnet was hard against the flywheel. Furthermore, the wheel ran true and I see no adjustments that would allow the magnet to center over the wheel (see pic). Called the help line but no response (presumably because it was Sunday). Sent an email which generated an auto-response but still no answers or fixes. Certainly hoping it's an easy fix because mailing it back will be virtually impossible. In my very first time using the machine my feet kept slipping out of the straps and pedals(very frustrating to readjust multiple times within 3 minutes) finally when I got my feet tied down the strap stitching just popped. (Now I have to restitch the straps in order to effectively use the machine). Once the strap broke I decided to look at distance conpleted in the 4-5 minutes of rowing I did and there was no distance recorded!!!. (I typicall get a 1 mile every 7 minutes). I will be contacting customer service to see if there is any user error going on, but as of right now I would not recommend this machine.
