I purchased these to replace the 20+ year old fluorescent fixtures in my basement ceiling. The fluorescent bulbs seem to have gotten more expensive and shorter-lived in the last few years. 2 bulbs cost me $28 and only last for about a year. These LED panels cost $40 and last for 50k hours! They are very easy to swap-out and only took me about 20 minutes each after the initial one which took nearly an hour. By the third one, they were a breeze! I'm thrilled with the bright, even light and no glare! They are slightly warmer in color than I thought they would be, as I was expecting the typical harsh, bluish light that you usually associate with LED lights. They are easily twice as bright as the old fluorescent lights, and use literally HALF the electricity! I highly recommend them!!! ... show more

It's a nice light fixture, that needs to be packaged much better for shipment. We have ordered many of these, and they are consistently damaged. Usually, we are able to repair them, but some we have had to discard.

I have been watching these panels for a few years now. Bought 2 a few years ago, do not remember from where, and they were ok but hag a transformer dog house that made installation a little trickier. These new lights are consistently thin throughout, light in weight and produce a lot of light. There us an optional dimmer attachment, but not your "normal" incandescent wall socket based one.
