Features

  • Record professional looking, smooth and steady video using only your iPhone, GoPro, or almost any other smartphone. Unlike other stabilizers - the StayblCam was designed specifically for smart phones and compact cameras such as the GoPro and other action cameras. The StayblCam is so easy - anyone young and old can create great looking video with no extra skills, using only one hand. Does not require adjustments of nuts, screws, or counterweights.
  • The StayblCam is compact and portable, but can also be stretched out to allow for video recording up to 3 feet (1 meter) above your head – or all the way down to ground level. Using the StayblCam in ‘down low’ mode is ideal for capturing never-before seen angles of your pets or small children – all the while giving you nice and stable image.
  • The unique and patented mobile phone grip features two separate slots, to ensure compatibility with most camera phones on the market. Textured ribs, made from a friction-resistant resin, makes sure that your phone will not fall out of the mount accidentally – even when you are holding the StayblCam upside down. The mobile phone adapter unscrews in seconds, to reveal a standard 1/4 inch screw for use with GoPro cameras or other compact cameras that have a tripod screw mount.
  • Simple and ergonomic gimbal handle made from strong aluminum feels great in your hand – and allows you full control of camera movements such as tilt, pan, and rotation with your fingers for support. With its compact size and shape, the StayblCam quickly collapses for easy storage and portability. It is also fitted with a another female 1/4 inch threaded hole at the bottom for soon to be released accessories such as DSLR stabilization and more.
  • Made in USA, and from high-impact resistant and waterproof, stainless materials - the StayblCam can handle a rugged trip into the mountains just as well as it can handle your trips underwater, shooting incredible underwater footage.

Just whip out the StayblCam, put your phone or camera on it - and shoot. Best of all? It was designed specifically to work great with cameras like the GoPro Hero, Contour (and other action cameras) - as well as with your iPhone, Samsung, Nokia, LG, or any other smart phone on the market. - Super easy to use - While completely portable, durable, and waterproof! - Full control of tilt, pan, and angles - something other stabilizers can't doCollapsible and compact for easy storage - 100% compatible with iPhones, smartphones, GoPro, and any compact camera - No adjustments of nuts, bolts, or counterbalancing Measuring in at just 10 inches, the StayblCam is very portable, and fits nicely in your backpack, travel bag, or glove compartment. This unique design also allows you to do something NO other camera stabilizer on the market can do – that is, you can record stable video at ground or floor level - while you are walking normal, standing up. The StayblCam is very comfortable and easy to use with one hand. No more awkward postures or twisted wrists trying to hold your camera phone at the right angle to get that perfect shot. It can be used for almost any video imaginable – from selfie videos, traveling and adventure videos, scuba diving, recording animals or children up close, and more.

abunda_amazon_reviews I originally ordered Stayblcam directly from their website in Black. After 3 months of waiting, I contacted them to find out the Black would be out of stock until June. So I decided to cancel and go for my second choice: White. Upon first examination, the Stayblcam is solidly built, made of a nice solid plastic with stainless steel telescoping pole. As advertised, my phone slipped easily into the slot and it stayblized (stabilized) the footage greatly. So why subtract a star? On the third use when I pulled on the top section to use the Stayblcam, it popped off of the pole. It almost looked like there was no adhesive holding it on. A little bit of super glue, and we were back in business, but I expect not to have flaws like this in a brand new product. As Stayblcam is a new company, there may be problems like this, though the company Stayblgear is very committed to customer satisfaction, and will make sure you are happy to the best of there ability. Overall, I am happy with my Stayblcam. It does its job well, packs small, and is generally well built. I think it basically comes down to using it correctly, and if you're like me - I tend to want to just try stuff without reading instructions. It was after I watched their how to videos and other people using it that it clicked for me. The unit came in a nice box and it feels good in your hand. Walking up and down stairs had no shake but being able to control that much movement takes a little bit of experimenting. You need to get used to using your pinkie and ring finger controlling the weight(which isn't explicit in the instructions), but it seems to be natural for them to rest near there anyways. Another really nice feature is that the mounting point is flexible with how thick your phone could be. The DJI Osmo is cool but forget about recording 360 videos with those things. StayblCam really does 360 well I think and my iPhone videos look way better now too. Pros: Small, relatively lightweight, compact, easy to carry around in a bag. Pretty easy to learn how to use. When combined with my Galaxy S6's optical image stabilization shots come out nicely. The build quality is great, very sturdy and solidly built, doubt that someone would really be able to break/deform it under normal use. Cons: I wish that after you find your balance point, you could lock the top and bottom into place. There would be times that during normal usage my balance would become off and I would have to readjust the balance of top/bottom. Panning left/right is only done by moving your wrist left or right, whereas on larger glidecams/steadicams you could move the pole left right to achieve panning capabilities, easier in my opinion. if your smartphone or smartphone case is weighted to either front/back at all the stayblcam will not be able to perfectly balance upright making the user have to compensate more with their fingers on the bottom the the pole. Summary: If you enjoy shooting videos on your smartphone/gopro, and realize that although this isn't a perfect solution. For the price its definitely worth a try, I'm generally pretty satisfied with the purchase but realize that it does have its flaws. PS. I should mention that I use it mostly for my Gopro Hero7 and havent really used it a whole lot with my phone yet.

Replacing my electronic gimbal
I admit that I didn't expect too much from a gimbal that looks more like just an extendable pole and no stabilizing motors. But now that I've been recording with it for well over a week, I can see what some of the hype is about. The Stablecam does indeed work surprisingly well. I think it basically comes down to using it correctly, and if you're like me - I tend to want to just try stuff without reading instructions. It was after I watched their how to videos and other people using it that it clicked for me. The unit came in a nice box and it feels good in your hand. The weight feels "right" for lack of better words. Not too heavy or too light. My only gripe is that it's not suited for heavier DSLR cameras. As long as it doesn't break on me, I am finding myself now actually using this more than my DJI Osmo lol.

Brilliant Invention!
When I first received the product I was very excited to see how it could change the quality of recording and I was not disappointed at all! After configuring the product and finding the balance point, which took only a few minutes, I was able to start recording very fluid and very steady videos, where everything felt as if it was part of the same motion. It was able to snugly accommodate my Samsung Galaxy S9, which was much thicker than usual since it was wearing a UAG case. where I could fit my phone that wears a really thick UAG case, in between the rubber and it was held incredibly securely. No shaking that bad boy would have the phone fall out. It looks to me as this item is a great innovation and is definitely worth the buy!

My impressions so far
This is the 3rd smartphone gimbal I have tested since last summer. The StayblCam has been around for a while though and I remember seeing it on tv a while back, not sure what to think of its somewhat odd shape lol. Well to get to the point my first impressions are mostly all positive. For me the most important thing is that I dont have to charge it, and also that I can use my Gear 360 with it. The DJI Osmo is cool but forget about recording 360 videos with those things. StayblCam really does 360 well I think and my iPhone videos look way better now too. There's still a little bit of jittering now and then but since it is mechanical this also comes down to how you move as a user - practice makes it just better and better in my opinion. I do wish it could hold my Canon 5D but there are other options out there for that.

The stayblcam is a good smartphone stabilizer that may or may not be what ...
The stayblcam is a good smartphone stabilizer that may or may not be what you're looking for in terms of a smartphone/gopro stabilizer. PS. Does anyone else think this looks a little... suspect? haha I definitely had to explain it when the weird looks came rolling by.
