abunda_amazon_reviews PROS: It’s massive. It’s larger than me. Gaming on this TV feels like I’m playing in real life, because the screen is life size. I no longer have to paint the wall in my living room, because it’s completely obscured by my huge TV. CONS: I had to dip into my child’s college savings to pay for this beast. Completely worth it tho. Who needs a degree when you have this TV!?;;August 30, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;❤️ MY BIG AZZ TV!;;Baka Jan;;;Great value for the money!?! Pros: HUGE Screen!! Sony X1 Processor Smart menus are now much faster Sony motion handling is still the best in the business 4 HDMI Ports Incredible picture in a bright room! Low reflection screen (good for bright rooms) Great remote Great design and style of the TV and has minimal bezel How they packaged this thing in the box is an engineering marvel Price/value! Cons: Black levels can appear grayish when viewing in a dark room Some backlight clouding/flashlighting noticeable when viewing in dark room Mediocre TV speaker sound quality so get a sound bar or surround system Heavy! (to be expected with a TV this big) The "feet" of the TV are deep so make sure your TV stand is deep enough to fit (approx 18"). I had to cut wood blocks to put the TV on since my stand wasn't deep enough. I've since painted the blocks black to blend in with the stand. Details: I bought this from another online seller but thought it worth posting a review here. I own two 75" X900e Sony TV's and wanted a larger screen for the loft/TV area. I was torn between this 85X850G and the more expensive Sony 85X900F. I prefer the FALD (Full Array Local Dimming) screen of the X900F for better contrast and deeper blacks but couldn't justify the extra $1k for this feature. Saw this 850G at a couple big box stores and was really impressed with the picture. Simply amazing. Looks great in a bright room or a room with ambient lighting. However, contrast quality degrades a bit in a dark room as blacks can appear "grayish" and you can see some of the backlight clouding during some dark scenes (a fix for this is to lower the contrast a bit and not keep it on the brighter settings). This was a little disappointing to me as I'm particular about picture quality, but isn't bad enough to be a deal breaker. My wife doesn't even notice it, so you may not either. I read many reviews and some had pointed out the contrast/black level issues so I kind of expected this. Bottom Line: For the price, you will not find a better looking TV in this size. I looked at the 86" LG but picture was not as sharp and the motion handling was not good. The Samsung Q 82" was impressive but TOO bright and 3" smaller than this Sony. In the end, I went with this 85X850G and I'm very happy with it. They improved the Android TV A LOT, it's now very fast and responsive and this TV also supports HDR10 and DOLBY VISION! And the redesigned remote is fantastic. I use the TV for sports, movies, news and video games. For sports and games, you will not find a better picture or lower input lag on other TV's. Best motion handling I've seen. Very little blur and no stutter. Can't beat Sony quality, Smart TV features, big screen size and value for this price! No need to go to the movies anymore, get this and you'll have a theater in your house! All my friends are blown away by the size and picture. *** UPDATE - 9/24/2019: I had some minor issues with uneven black uniformity backlight bleeding/"flashlighting" on the display in one corner. I used a microfiber cloth and found a black test screen video on Youtube and used the video to identify the uneven areas and buffed them out with the microfiber cloth. I'd heard about this trick before but never tried and boy did it work! The flashlighting areas are almost completely gone. Just lightly press in on the screen and buff in circular motion, now the uniformity is MUCH better during dark scenes at night! Try this if you have the same issue. ***;;September 13, 2019;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Great big TV and value for the money!;;Bdub;;;I have bought and still have numerous big screen TV's in my office and at home. ***

Don't buy a Sony TV, especially the Bravio.
I have bought and still have numerous big screen TV's in my office and at home. I'm in the movie business. The only TV that always fails is the Sony TV's. Don't buy unless you are a masochist. My Bravia Sony always had some kind of issue after six months of owning it. Sony sent out technicians and they told me to wait on the software updates, that there were bugs in their previous software. The last software update killed my Sony Bravia. LG and Samsung are much better and dependable tv's. And by the way the Sony TV's image sucks. Unless you're center exactly watching the Sony TV, you will have a washed out image because the TV has no alternative viewing angles other than dead center. I need to find a large enough plot to bury this terrible TV now that it is definitely dead.

Great picture and sound quality
Excellent 4K TV Amazon came in and installed it right on the wall perfectly and installed the sound system to it. Looks great, has excellent smart TV channel choices and is easy to use. Great sound quality.

Big, dead TV, makes for expensive furniture
Well, it dies after 2 months and a very light usage - simply won't turn on. During its short days it was actually fine; very good picture, decent sound, huge size and the OS is surprisingly good. Now it's just a big black dead weight hanging from the wall, waiting its Amazon masters to decide what to do. I guess it serves me right for getting a Sony and not sticking with Samsung.

Awesome Picture
This is my first 4K TV. The picture is Amazing. Watching a live baseball broadcast is like having the players in your living room. Now I am hungry for more 4K programming. I use the standard setting but I am leaning towards having a professional tune the Picture. The upscaler is excellent. This TV is compatible with Dolby Vision. I View 4K Dolby vision Discs through my Sony 4K Blu-Ray (UBP-X700) player which has Dolby Vision in it. (Don't forget the firmware update for Dolby Vision) The picture is Outstanding. One of the USB ports is 3.0 which suits well with my computer which has 3.1 compatibility. You have a choice of wired or wireless. Android TV is very fast for viewing your Apps. I strongly suggest using >18Gbps HDMI cables for connecting your components. There is a setting for "Enhanced" under HDMI when using High Speed Cables. The voice remote is pretty good also. I mounted this monster on my living room wall. It is very heavy.

It's big
If you're in the market for an 85 inch TV then I'd highly recommend this product. The android TV features are smooth and responsive (and no ads anywhere) unlike LG. The TV is pretty good for gaming as well as I haven't had issues with input lag and is 120 hertz native.

Big Ass TV 👌
Although I have not purchased this yet, I intend to shortly. However, after reading another person post on how “Sony Bravia” TVs are trash, I needed to post. I’ve owned two Sony Bravia TVs, 2012 55” 3D LED Bravia and 2016 Sony Bravia. 2012 is still kicking it, I had to replace the motherboard $100, but other then that, it’s still an awesome picture. 2016 is epic, no issues, smart TV. Anyways, that being said, I give this TV a 4 out of 5. It’s bad ass and big, and I’ve never had major issues with my Bravia. Lastly, works great with PS4.
