I bought the FDR-AX700 after reading reviews about its abilities to film clearly in low lighting, such as church services and also sporting events like basketball. I'm impressed with the film quality and the many options it has. This model is documented to have components from Sony's professional line of still cameras and there are many videos online about how to make adjustments and their effects. I've got mine dialed in and the video quality is excellent. The kit I bought here included a tripod and many filters. I would also like to thank the seller, 6ave, for sending my camera sooner than expected. All the items arrived in a large unlabeled box to keep prying eyes from knowing the contents. Unfortunately the spare battery was dead but after quick responses about this issue, they definitely made things right. I appreciate businesses like this and recommend them. ... show more

    • Awesome Camcorder!
This camera is better than any camcorder that I've ever used. The only thing that I dislike is that it is not 100% touch screen. The view finder is the best that I've ever seen. It is actually practical in that you can use it to shoot. The picture quality compared to my DSLR is about the same.

    • Most of the features are greyed out. I couln't use them.
I wonder if this is really a Sony camera. Many functions are greyed out and I couldn't use them. I purchased this camera to take the supper slow motion. But, the function is greyed out. I couldn't use it.

Have used the camera for a only few projects so far. But it's a Sony, so it is behaving as expected. Price for this package put together by this seller was less than some sellers ask for only the camera! Some parts of the kit I probably will not use in their intended way. There is a tiny tripod that can't hold the camcorder, but holds the auxiliary light just fine. The spare battery that was included was DOA. Seller responded immediately to me with shipment of a replacement. I had a question about the manual - paper copies are no longer included - seller responded about that as well. I am pleased with the camcorder, and very pleased with the seller! ... show more

There was an extra power cable to AC unit in the box. Not sure if either were correct. Sent a reply to Electronics Basket and they sent a replacement cable right away. Very responsive and good service. Extra battery is important to have. Using the full HDMI out to a BlackMagic ATEM Mini Pro video mixer. Added the remote Libec Zoom controller. Both work well with the camera. The extra wide angle lens is a simple screw on to the lens. Will need to do testing and more shooting with the AX-700, the extra shotgun mic and the small AA Battery LED light, but the camera seems to fit my needs ... show more
