I was a little worried this wouldn’t work on my rounded couch arm. The arm I use most is next to a hallway with no room for a small table. The product came with a no-slip mat with double sided tape to affix the mat to the arm tray. The adhesive on the tape that was fastened to the no-slip mat was melted and soupy when I opened opened the package! Note: I received this in NJ in December, weather was cold. I ended up throwing out the tape and simply placing the non skid mat under the arm tray and hoping residual soupy glue doesn’t get on my couch arm. The seat does recline and is part of a small sectional couch. It works great, has not shifted even when using the recliner (I do take care to be gentle with recliner). So far I have used the tray with a hot coffee mug and a large Yeti thermos. I use the side compartments for two tv remotes, cell phone and reading glasses. I have the tray far enough forward on the couch arm so I still have room to rest my arm on the soft leather arm rather than the wooden tray. I am subtracting one star because of the soupy tape and the cost of this item. I am glad only one side has compartments because it would interfere with your hip when getting on and off couch. I wasn't sure about this product and I thought it was too pricey, but decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because it is working well for me. My LG Magic Remote fits into the side pocket perfectly, and I wasn't sure it would as it has a thick base. The pockets measure 5.75" x 1.5" x 2.75", and they are big enough to hold what I need them to hold. The unit is good quality, sturdy, well made and beautifully finished. The mfr solved the slipping problem by including a length of black foam waffle grip fabric with a self adhesive strip. You place it over the furniture arm and the caddy over the fabric, and it stays put beautifully. I understand the confusion now about the color as it's really an in-between color without a name, so they made one up. I would say that it is a cross between khaki, taupe and maybe a mushroom color. It works wonderfully well in my tv room, which has those colors plus gray-green and spa blue. I still think it was too high priced, but since I like it and will use it every day, I will deal. If you have a small space, no room for an end table and need room to stash a few things, this will do the job well. And it will look ok while doing it. ... show more

This works just as you would think and looks just as the photo. My husband gets a bit frustrated bc it isn't as sturdy as a side table...but it's NOT a side table!! We don't have room between the chair and the sofa for a table. This was a perfect compromise. You can put your drinks on it, but of course they are on the arm of the sofa. So you'd better not balance red wine on there unless you are OK with it maybe spilling when you accidentally bonk it with your elbow or while reaching for the remote in the pocket. That has not happened to us because we are aware of the hazard of the arm rest issue! But if you need a little space to set your coffee or beer while you eat your popcorn, if this works perfectly. It's better than setting your drink on the floor where you'll kick it over when you get up for popcorn refills! And the pockets hold whatever thing you need all the time...use it for remotes. It is made sturdy and is as advertised. I think all of them are overpriced, including this one. But again, it does what I needed it to do and it isn't going to break. So I'm still happy with it and recommend it to solve small space issues. ... show more

Nice wood. Non slip backing keeps it firmly in place. But the pockets for the remotes are too shallow to securely hold any remote. Eight of remotes pulls the entire device off balance. Cup holders are shallow and tilt when remotes are in the pockets. Not secure for that reason. I would not buy this again. I just put up with it. ... show more

I purchased this product because I don't have room in the apartment for an end table. It did arrive as discribed and looked just like the picture from the online store. I gave it a 4 because my couch arm isn't quite large enough to handle the full width of the top board, which is 4 3/4" and the arm of my couch is closer to 4". It does come with an anti slip material that helps the product from sliding to one side. This would fit perfectly for those oversized couch arms. I do have to use a kitchen towel to make up for the difference. However, I kept the product because it still looks and works very well. The only other issue I have is the remote for the Amazon Fire TV fits perfectly sideways in the bottom of the tray making it tough for my large fingers to dig it out easily. This is the reason I gave it a 4 for remote control and value for your money. For what I paid the product should be perfect. ... show more

Great in theory, and works well for what it is, but if you accidentally lean onto your arm rest it will pinch the heck out of your arm :( I kept it for a few months, I'm officially tired of getting pinched, I'mreplacing it with something silicon or similar ASAP.

Armrest serves its purpose and is a great way to keep remotes organized and provide a flat space for drinks. Only downside it even on our squared leather armrest is it will shift and be slightly unlevel, but still functional. Don’t see this being an issue on larger or less padded arm rest.
