You need to add A little adjustments
I had this product before and it was great. This time I got it from amazon with a warranty. I have friends with pellets and electric smokers but gas to me gives more smoke flavor. Controlling the temp is alittle tricky but You’ll find ways to get it where you want it. Also needs to be tweaked! Before use buy HIGH HEAT SPRAY PAINT and paint the inside. This will stop the smoker from peeling inside. Not the grates, just the smoker! Also grab gasket sealer to seal the smoker door so no smoke gets out. And finally always put aluminum foil at the bottom to catch drippings and easy clean up. It will last you along time if you take care of it, which I didn’t the first time! But the smoker is great! Smoke on!

Buyer beware
The entire inside has a coating on it. After 7 or 8 uses this coating bubbled up and came off in sheets. I have no idea what it is made of and I dont know how much of it flaked off before i noticed it. It kind of pissed me off. Not sure what to do about it. The door is cockeyed as well, and has been that way since I got it. I have to pull up on it and latch it tight to keep it closed properly or else it just leaks smoke. **update** i contacted the manufacturer and they just keep bouncing me between reps through emails. i scraped out the paint and tried to use the thing again. it wont maintain a temperature at all. the temp spikes constantly, and not like a normal spike that happens with all smokers. poorly made and complete junk.

Toxic
There was nothing stating that it needed to be burned off inside. I had ribs, stuffed pork loin and meatloaf in it to smoke. When I was half way there was some kind of plastic on the inside of the smoker dripping down! It ruined all my meat. I don't even know if it's safe to use this smoker!!

Needs to be reengineered.
Had to use a hammer on the misaligned hinges to get the door on properly. The paint on the interior is already bubbling and peeling after 3 uses. In spite of all this, still able to smoke some amazing food. Will be sanding and refinishing before further uses though.

Great big smoker but thin rust prone bottom panel and ring.
I had 2 of these before this one. I love the size, 24" wide and the number of racks, the adjustability of rack location and the finished product always tastes great. The one great big negative is the ring in the bottom of the smoker that the smoker bowl fits over will rust out in a NY minute. Some folks say its the LP gas or byproducts that are corrosive. I dont know. The smoke bowl that you put wood chips or chunks in rusts/burns out pretty quick too. You can make or substitute a different smoke pan so that is not deal breaker. The door on my new one is crooked and does not seal well at top left corner. Maybe can shim it or seal with and oven gasket. Maybe close the damper and let smoke out where it does not seal. Ran in to a problem trying to register for warranty which according to MB/SH you have to do. This model # is not listed. You cannot register without it. I did file a warranty claim by selecting a listed model # and saying mine was not listed. You cannot call MB/SH, all you get is a recorded message telling you everything has to be done on line. I call this TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE but this is what the world has come to. These companies have gotten so cheap they wont even pay for an off shore 3rd world call center for their customer service. Also to register for warranty you have to take a picture of your receipt and the back of the smoker where the model # and serial # are. You have to upload the pictures during the registration process. I like the concept, the ease of use and what it does for ribs, butts and briskets but the rust out problems, fit and finish, total lack of customer service would recommend you look else where.

READ BEFORE BUYING
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Okay, I should have read all the reviews before purchase. I'll give very high level opinion and my update later. * YOU MUST CURE THIS SMOKER FOR MANY HOURS BEFORE USING!!! (YES ALL CAPS) * Read fist rule bullet again * its huge - can easily smoke a handful of meals, large turkey, ribs all at the same time if you wanted. I would have selected zero to 1/2 stars if I could have. Overview - I was having a very difficult time getting this thing to stay hot. I live in Pac Northwest and it was a 30 degree day when I first used the smoker. I thought due to the cold that was the reason but it actually turned out to be the vent in the back, I had it closed. (my fault). Once opened and oxygen got in there was no issue with heat. Matter of fact it's when I experienced all the issues. The damn thing started melting. I thought maybe 2 hours of heating/curing was good enough to burn out any oil, dirt, etc.. I was wrong. Grey smoke billowed out black crud running everywhere - concrete, pan etc. (See the pictures) black paint or grease or whatever the hell it is now stained my patio. I'll need to pressure wash in order to get it cleaned off. At the moment I'm burning the hell out of this thing trying to get all the "whatever" it is out (see vid) so I can seriously test this thing without eating chemicals. I like the size and how it holds heat so if all the crap on the inside burns out I'm good with it. We'll see.... I'll update my post when I give it another shot.

Had this smoker over 6 months now and very happy with it. For 250 degrees you'll leave the dial at about the 6 o clock position or a few minutes earlier. A 2 lead bluetooth meat thermometer makes life a lot easier especially when smoking brisket or pork shoulder overnight. Propane and wood chips is the way to go IMHO. Less time consuming than charcoal and more affordable than pellets.
