Canon Rebel SL2 must have a noisy built in audio because the sound quality when the rode video mic pro plus is paired isn’t as great as other cameras using the mic. Still great sounding and huge upgrade from the built in mic.

So frustrating . . pay tons of money expecting a quality product and then you find it this unit has a common issue that people on youtube have posted how to repair. Not sure why I should have to repair a bad design. I have owned a number of Rode mics in the past. But this mic and then rode podcaster . . . it’s time to move on to something else. I had the Rode VideoMic Pro and used it with a Cannon Mark II & a Sony a7sii. There was always a background hissing with the Rode VideoMic Pro even though I attempted numerous adjustments.     • Great sound quality! Not sure about the noise cancellation...
Truth, I think it's the room I'm filming in. I probably need sound panels or some better way to lessen the sound so I'm sure that's why the noise cancellation stands out to me. Other than that, super easy to use and sounds nice and clear.

Great mic for dslr camera. You can charge the battery w a usb sobyour not removing the battery after every use. It turns on when you turn your camera on. I’d def buy again if needed. Just wish it had a plastic case.
