  • Great investment in comfort and savings!!
This thing can put out so much heat it makes a propane patio heater look like a hand warmer!! Sitting next to the old one my head was warm enough. This one heats nearly to the floor! I did some figuring and the price to use it is a lot less than we were paying for propane, so that'll be a nice savings soon enough! I'm gonna have to try it out camping sometime soon. I'm sure the bags of pellets are going to be a better option than piles of firewood...might still need a small fire for smores or a skillet? Not sure yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll be part of my regular camping gear, unless we're going somewhere that's just gonna be HOT. Feel free to hit me up with questions! ... show more

  • All around great product
This is my 2nd Qflame patio heater. The first one is great so I got the second one for the garage and front of the house. This is a portable, compact heater that is made very well and generates a lot of heat.

  • DO NOT PURCHASE THIS STOVE IS YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO FIR OR PIN PELLETS
11/2020. The stove is burning well. I was very frustrated with the purchase. However it is burning really well now. I do not know what the difference is. Update 1/31/2020 According to the manufacturer of this stove with respect to my issue is this stove was designed to burn Fir / Pine pellets. Fir / Pine burns hotter and produces fine ash. I do not have access to FIR or Pine. If you are thinking of purchasing this stove, ensure you have access to pellets mad of Fir / Pine OR a hardwood Fir or Pine mix. Update 1/30/2020 I did receive a response from the company. Please see below: You sent me you tube that tells me how to light the fire. Really! My issue is after an hour or so of burn time, the right side of the burn pot is NOT burning any where near as hot as the left side. I can see a pile a blackened pellets on the right side near the feed tube that are not burning very well. 3 things for a fire to burn, Fuel Heat and Air. I am telling you the pile on the right is being starved of air and you have completely discounted that and sent me videos on how to light the pellets. Do you not have an engineering person who can help you understand the problem? Update. Please look at the photos. Along the left side of the burn pot the feed tube is square to the burn pot. The right side of the burn pot the feed tube is not square to the burn pot. On the side that is not square to the pot,the pellets do not burn as well, as the other side. I think the issue is the air cannot get to the pellet pile on the right side as well as it does on the left side. The rate of pellet burn is about 2 to 1. This is a manufacturing issue. So one side of the burn pot burns hotter than the other. I have written the manufacture and called twice. NO RESPONSE! We have had this stove for a while and have had a chance to use it many times. I am burning oak pellets. Here is the issue. The pellets do not dispense evening, on each side. One hopper runs low long before the other. The flame is hotter on one side of the chamber than the other. significantly hotter. I found a burr edge inside the delivery tube on the side that does not burn as hot / uses less pellets. I used a file to remove the burr, which has helped but did not resolve the feed issue. Based on what I am seeing I cannot recommend this stove. The design is great. The functionality leaves a lot to be desired. ... show more

  • This is a great patio heater until it gets too hot.
I have no idea why there's negative reviews on this heater. Once you figure out the right combination of air & pellets this thing puts out some serious heat. It's actually starting to make the ceiling on my back porch bubble up a little. My only concern so far is how hot the back of the heater gets. It literally glows. (Picture included). Hopefully it'll last at least a couple of years. We've had the best luck with the hardwood pellets from tractor supply. All the people saying it doesn't put out heat....clearly do not know how to build a proper fire. If you have any kind wood burning stove or fireplace insert experience....you'll know how to get this heater hot. This is warmer than my sister's big propane heater and waaaaay cheaper to operate. ***update 12/2/21.**** not even a month after I bought it... we started having problems with it getting too hot in other places like the hopper. Please see last few attached pics It WAS a great little heater....but definitely not for the hefty price tag if it's not going to last even a month. ... show more

  • Heat and cool ambiance
I was looking for a heater with the flame that you can see. Those types of heaters are cool to look at but really poor heat output. Then I saw this. I’ve used it a few times now and love it! It takes about 30min to really get going. Once it was going, put out great heat. It works well sitting in the vicinity of it. The best part though is just putting the pellets in and seeing the flame. Highly recommend. I did have a question about it and sent an email and called the company and they got back to me within a week. The top lid has a hole in the center of it which is to let gas out of the top which I did not know about. I ordered a cover from the website and I think I would get that flask thing they sell with it to heat water. ... show more

  • Nice ambiance, difficult assembly, rough shipping, decent heat
Pros: Looks very nice when lit. Had many compliments and inquiries about the heater at my most recent party. Decent heat. Puts out heat the full length of the heater, which is an improvement over gas patio heaters. Enough heat to keep you warm on a cool night, but not quite the same as a fire pit. Cons: Arrived dented and damaged. Had a decent dent in the top of one of the pellet bins. The door to the fire box was jammed due to damage during shipping. I had to find the pin and use a rubber mallet to get it working again. Difficult to assembly properly without harming the aesthetics. The fits are tight. Folding the chimneys is not intuitive and takes some elbow grease. Even when you get the hang of it, it's difficult not to misshape the chimneys...and once they are out of shape it doesn't fit or look quite right. Overall, I'm not remorseful of my purchase because it's functional, but I think some things could be improved. ... show more
