abunda_amazon_reviews Original Review: Desperately trying to get this resin to work but no results (at all - buildplate has nothing on it) on two different machines. Don’t buy Update: I have upped the stars from 1 to 3 after figuring out how to get this resin to work. Nothing on the bottle or website was helpful. I found out how to get this to work from VOG's youtube channel. If Phrozen would put this advice (and all around more info) on their bottles of resin I would put this resin up higher. I still don't know how well it casts and burns out but so far I can definitely get some clean looking prints with it. How to use this resin: I use a first layer exposure time of 50-60 seconds minimum. Each layer after that is 12 seconds just like the bottle says. THE IMPORTANT PART: Take your build platform out of your machine and grab a medium sized brush. Brush on a thin layer and cover the entire build plate in a thin coat of this resin and then cure it under a UV light for about ten minutes. Repeat this step as necessary up to four times. This will give your entire build plate a sort of pre-treated layer that the first layer will adhere to. I had so many failures until i tried this and the minimum amount of layers that I found was needed to get a 100% successful print was 2. Make sure you aren't laying on too thick or you will risk damage to your LCD or FEP layer. Proceed at your own risk, I haven't had any problems on my Epax X1. Is this process a messy pain in the ass? Yes it is. But unfortunately it seems this is the method you need to use with just about every castable resin, so I wont hold that against the phrozen brand. I just wosh they would save us all the hassle and give us some advice on the label! Sorry for the bad quality pics, the compression really did a number on them. Typically the issue is not the resin but the settings or mechanical issues with resin printers. I have both the AnyCubic Photon and Photon S printers that I have used with this resin. The recommendation on the bottle for exposure times is pretty accurate for the AnyCubic Photon but is a little high for the Photon S. The reason is that the Photon S has a stronger UV and doesn't require as much time as the Photon. I have gotten highly detailed prints using this very affordable resin. I would definitely recommend it. If you are having problems with it printing correctly then check YouTube videos or FaceBook groups to see if it is a problem with settings or mechanical adjustments are needed.;;Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Very detailed quality prints;;Daniel Cox;;;I'm amending my original review.
