Phanteks has created another winning case!
My first Phanteks case was the famous Evolv ATX the last 3 years that I modified heavily for airflow as well as for looks and its been a great case the past 3 years. But I've had the upgrade bug lately due to the COVID lockdown and needed a new case project to keep myself busy and sane. After months of researching, I decided on the very sexy looking new P500A that was shown at CES 2020 while the world still made sense. But with the covid situation, it was a very long wait waiting for shipments to arrive from China via ship but at long last, my patience paid off and I couldn't be more happy to retire my Evolv ATX with the sexy new white p500A to get finish my "Blizzacron" case project to get ready for Cyberpunk 2077! PROS: 1. Fantastic air cooling thanks to the new metal mesh as many websites like HardwareCanuk and Gamers Nexus will back up. 2. Metal mesh does a dang good job of dust/hair filtration and is so easy to clean with no filter to remove, just wipe with a damp paper towel. Cat owners like me rejoice! 3. Built in RGB with DRGB model is very well done all around and was a major selling point for me. It can also be controlled via mobo 5v RGB header. The "Knight Rider" strip I call it looks slick as hell in motion 4. Side panel wire management built into the case all around is fantastic and so easy to do 5. White color paint job looks amazing 6. USB 3.1 Type A ports and USB 3.1 gen 2 type C are very nice future proofing 7. PSU installation via rear with PSU bracket mount is SOOO much easier! 8. Airflow from rear and top of case is great with open grill design built into case metal. Watercoolers will love this case 9. No more thumbscrews for glass panel access!! Thank God!!! The hinged glass door is so very nice and the magnets are very strong to keep it closed against the case. CONS: 1. Stock RGB Phantek fans are 3 pin and NOT 4 pin 2. Stock RGB Phantek fans get very noisy at above 60% RPM speed. KitGuru/Hardware Canuuks reviews confirms this as well 3. No included fan controller? Cmon Phanteks, that is just not acceptable for this price point. Most buyers would gladly spend the extra $5-10 to have this included, especially since stock intake fans are 3 PIN and mobo fan headers are limited. Boo hiss for this penny pinching decision 4. Paint quality control. My first P500A had really poor white balance on the rear panel, like the factory painted over a "faulty" paint job and it looked like hell and needed to be returned. YMMV 5. Plastic cable cover sliders are a total joke and can VERY easily pinch/damage fan cabling if you don't watch what your doing. I much rather have the silicon openings like my EVOLV ATX had 6. No PSU silicon/foam mounting points on bottom of case? Again, cmon Phantek, this is total penny pinching again. I had to add my own to keep PSU vibration down into the case 7. No HDD/SDD activity light? Ung...... cmon Phanteks, seriously?

I had fun building into this
I have a prebuilt HP gaming PC that I have upgraded components the last several months. The one issue I had is that my Prebuilt PC Case had horrible airflow. So I bought a new case, disassembled my old PC, and built into this new case. This case is so well built compared to what I had before. It was satisfying building this computer with well thought out through points, build quality, and new look. I kind of want to dissemble this case again to start all over and build into it. Airflow is great, I can actually keep the side panel closed now, unlike my previous Prebuilt PC.

Affordable, but now becoming dull quickly after several loaves of bread.... Not happy.
Bought this knowing it was: 1) HAND WASH ONLY 2) Affordable 3) Specifically for cutting bread Now, the blade is thinner than I would like, but that isn't the problem. It started out great! Cut my homemade artisan loaves as well as homemade sandwich bread. I was thrilled. BUT.....about 3 weeks after using it, the blade doesn't cut as well as it did brand new. I make about 6 loaves of bread a week, sourdough (artisan style) and regular white bread etc.. It is losing its "cut-a-bility". It just won't handle my loaves without increasing effort to even get through the crust. It used to slice great, now it is too much effort. The blade seems to be dulling quickly with average use (I use it every 2 - 3 days to cut bread). I make bread for friends and family, and I like to pre-slice the bread before I give it away or freeze it. I've sliced about 30 loaves since ordering this knife, and I'm wishing I would have invested more $$ into one that lasts. What I have learned: * Loses its sharpness and ability to cut effectively after about 4 - 6 weeks of use (or about 30 loaves give or take). * Does NOT come with a blade protector (even a decent cardboard one would work well and I wished they would have supplied one) This is a 2-star bread knife at best. Started out as a 5, but when the functionality slips after a few weeks of use, just not durable for my regular and artisan-style bread.

Excellent Airflow, No RGB, bring more fans if you buy it.
Like #1: Excellent airflow. Like #2: Excellent dust filter screen placement and method of attachment. The magnetic mesh on top was a nice touch instead of previous plastic spring detent sockets (Phanteks Enthoo Luxe) which would wear out. Like #3: Sleek, minimalistic styling with a magnetic and gasket sealed tempered glass side face is attractive. Like #4: Excellent cable management. Like #5: Excellent modularity for EITHER HDD installation or pump/reservoir cooling solution for those that like water cooling. Like #6: Excellent options for fans (3 front, 1 rear, 3 top, or radiators in front or top, or even a small radiator in back. Like #7: The thumb-screw adapter plate to mount the Power Supply to (using regular screws for PSU to adapter plate, and then thumb screws for adapter plate to case) was a nice touch; I didn't know I wanted this until I had it. Like #8: Anti-Sag bracket for PCIe cards. Like #9: Optional vertical mount for GPUs with two positions, so that one doesn't completely restrict airflow. (I'm not using it, but it's a nice option). Like #10: 3 x 3.5" SATA SSD trays. Like #11: No RGB. (This is purely personal, but I hate RGB, and that's why I chose this over the Phanteks P500A Digital. Dislike #1: Only comes with 2 front fans installed. It would be great if this came with 3 front fans (like the Phanteks P500A Digital) instead of only 2 fans. Dislike #2: The clearance is on the tight side for some larger motherboards (EATX) that use downward facing connectors that are parallel to the PCB plane and not perpendicular to the PCB plane. For example, I had to clearance a bit of the case to fit my USB 2.0 header on my X99 Classified. This does not detract from the overall rating, it is rather something to be aware of for folks with downward facing headers or power attachments on the bottom of a large motherboard.
