I started with one and bought a second I liked it so much. Just remember lightbulb is not included. I bought a filament light bulb that gives off an amber light. Super cool, clean and perfect for smaller spaces.

A lot of fixtures come with unswappable LEDs or have restrictive shapes that prevent large bulbs, shapes like parabolic reflectors (PAR), or anything over 15 W. By contrast, **this lamp can accommodate almost any bulb shape, size, wattage, and color.** If you need a task-style floor lamp without a shade, I recommend this one with whatever bulb you prefer. I'm actually using these to grow seedlings indoors with PAR38 grow LED bulbs. These are large and 35 W, and they have large reflectors that would clash with a shade or metal enclosure in most lamps. The good: - Matches my decor and preferences - Surprisingly sturdy for its height - E26 socket, up to 100 W, and can accommodate many bulb shapes and sizes -- including corn, bulged reflector (BR), and parabolic reflector (PAR). The bad: - The socket doesn't stay straight in the fixture, so your bulb might be at an angle. - The socket lacks no insulation as an extra safeguard against short-circuits. - The sockets are noticeably fragile. One broke as I screwed a bulb in. (Also, the neutral and hot wires are the same color and not clearly labeled) Diatribe about modularity: Most lamps these days come with bulbs, so you must like both the fixture and the bulb. An elegant lamp might come with a 3W bulb plus an unnecessary remote. And if the light source fails, you must replace the entire fixture. The Edison screw socket (designed in the 1840s) has lots of problems and seems weird for LEDs, but having standard socket types ensures modularity. ... show more
