I was very pleased with the quality, comfort and fit of these hiking shoes for the price. I was unaware of Nortiv 8 until I saw these on Amazon. I wanted a waterproof hiking shoe for dog walking in the fall and winter. I wanted to try the quick lacing system thinking that I could swap out the quick laces for regular laces if I didn’t like them. However, after I received the shoes and tried them on I found that I liked the quick lace system. They keep the hiking boots laced comfortably and securely to my feet. I only have about 10 miles on them so far but they are comfortable going up hill and down hill with no foot sliding inside the boots. The boots are light weight and have a very comfortable removable insole. They required no break-in. I ordered my normal size 11 and wear medium thickness socks. The sole had plenty of grip on all surfaces and in wet conditions. They seem durable and if they last a year I would buy another pair. Highly recommended.

Bought this boot as I work at a car wash. Pros: It slides on, feels snug and is waterproof to about mid foot. Cons: seems a but narrow on my foot, and there is little to no traction in wet conditions. Still a solid boot for the money. I would recommend.

These lil' beauties perfectly straddle the daily-wear & bushcraft worlds. I was looking for a quick reasonably-priced replacement for my fave pair of accidentally-trashed tactical-style boots, saw these and took a chance. Glad I did. They feel awesome- solid, well made, shaping themselves perfectly, with nice grippy ankle support. They've also been much more water resistant than my old favorites, due to their materials. I wasn't digging the yellow stripe along the back so a bit of magic marker modded that, but it's a generous touch if you want some extra outdoor visibility. Similar big-name styles go for a lot more, making these Nortivs a nice cost-effective bargain. Recommended.

A Couple months after buying the shoe is wearing out inside. Also not good for wet hikes. tall grass and a bit of morning dew will soak through fairly quickly.

The boots may or may not be comfortable, they may be light or not, but they are not waterproof. Walking in the wet grass, the socks got soaked. At this moment everything fails. Amazon should audit which companies publish characteristics that the products CANNOT meet.
