  • Excellent Boots for Budget Minded People
Size: 10 Wide Color: 170410-grey/Black
For the money, these are an excellent option. I run XL Smartwool Socks. Order the wide size option if one is running mountaineering style socks. I found the wider size option is the way to go for a perfect fit for narrow feet. I hate laces and the hooks found on traditional style boots. These are easy on and easy off. I also found they are quite comfortable and warm but not too hot when worn inside all day. I hope the zipper holds up and does not fall down during use. Other than concerns of sporting a zipper, I love these boots. I have owned very expensive options that have been a let down in a number of ways - one of them being the feet were freezing cold despite the money spent. I think these boots are the way to go price point wise. Big bang for the buck so-to-speak. ... show more

  • Quality snow boots
Size: 12 Color: 170410-brown/Black
I searched a long time to find a quality zippered snow boot before ordering these boots. I am really pleased with them. I had to order them a half size large because my size wasn't available, so they are slightly big, but that's ok as I usually wear thicker or extra socks when using them. They have a solid rubber nonstick bottom which prevents slipping, and the rubber extends up the side for 2" to keep the boot dry. The upper sides are leather and look good. They are well insulated and the inside of the boots has a lining to help keep them warm, although I like to wear an extra sock when it is really cold. I live in Nebraska and we have had temps below -10 recently, so I needed a quality pair of snow boots. I really like the zipper in the front. I don't like to have to bend down to lace up boots when I have a lot of winter clothes on. It is much easier to zip in and out of these boots. The price was very reasonable. I am really pleased with this order. ... show more

  • Great affordable waterproof boots!
Size: 11 Wide Color: 170410-brown/Black
We had a significant weather event and I was able to put these boots to their first real test! I walked around in several inches of water for a couple of hours, and my feet stayed perfectly dry the whole time. They are definitely waterproof. Sometimes it's hard to gauge sizing with ordering shoes - I have very wide feet and tend to order a 10.5 Wide if they're available, but go up to an 11 for regular widths. I decided to order these boots in an 11 Wide, assuming some play would be acceptable and allow room for thicker socks. The size is exactly what I expected, perfectly roomy but not overly loose. The soft furry interior is very comfortable. My only complaint is that the zipper does not move very smoothly and it can take some struggling and maneuvering to get them zipped up. ... show more

  • Excellent “snow” boot - use with heavy socks
Size: 13 Color: 170410-brown/Black
Very warm and functional. Not perfect for non slip although I suppose nothing is. The zipper is a plastic type. You can “grease” it a bit but really it’s heavy duty and you need to hold the tongue down a little to make it easier to zip. Hasn’t been an issue. The overall fit is loose so that it can be worn with very heavy socks. The toe box especially feels loose but I think that’s really the point. I bet a toe warmer fits in there great. Even so wearing no show socks with them has been fine just swims a bit. Looks really good but it’s not a showpiece like say an ugg. It’s a functional and working boot. The fact it’s a touch roomy is a plus for easily getting them on and off. The single zipper makes this even less cumbersome than any lace up. 3m thinsulate feels good. The boot cuff is also a bit bigger. Pants will fit fine inside or outside boot. If you are blowing snow outside for instance I think sticking the pants in may be the way to go. Insole is legit compared to anything you get in an athletic sneaker. To me the boot does get narrower toward mid foot and back. Hasn’t been an issue. ... show more

  • I'm new to snow, and I prefer dry and warm feet
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: 170410-brown/Black
I am new to snow and snow boots, and though I don't find these snow boots as comfortable as "regular" boots, I find them much more effective at keeping my feet warm and dry. I first purchased "waterproof" leather boots, but I quickly found the cold to creeping in at the soles. They also did not grip ice as well as these snow boots. I realized the regular leather boots were fine for wearing around town, but not intended for shoveling snow above my ankles. I also like that I can easily slip on and zip up these snow boots. This is much easier than lasing up my leather boots just to take out the trash. I was concerned about sizing since I have wide feet and it can sometimes be an issue. I bought a wide in my normal size, but my toes are ever so slightly cramped compared to other shoes of the same size. I expected these to be just a bit looser since I would think they would be made for people to wear thick socks. I do not wear that thick of socks, so I think my feet would feel cramped if I did. Though this is a criticism, I must stress it is a very slight issue. I have worn these boots for a few hours without my toes hurting. I just expected a bit more room, though I cannot expect every pair of shoes to perfectly fit my Fred Flintstone feet. Overall, I am very pleased I have these boots, especially since I am looking out the window at a snow storm after hearing there was only a 30% chance of snow today... ... show more

  • Opening is way too big
Size: 13 Color: 170410-black
I have normal sized legs, and when I first put this boot on and zipped it up, I discovered there's a full 2 inch gap between my shin and the tongue of the boot. Even with the thickest possible socks, there's still far too much room, with no way to cinch it closed like would be possible with laces. The opening is big enough for someone who weighs 400 pounds. ... show more
