abunda_amazon_reviews this is cheaply made. kept showing one battery had a short BUT using a CTEK it charged the battery and all was ok. the NOCO has an intergrated eyelet which is very impractical. the manual is defecient in describing things, confusing. i returned and bought a CTEK which is so far superior, no wonder it is recommended by mercedez, bmw, jaguar and used in jay leno's garage. it has seperate clips and eyelt cords, a carrying case, a nice manual, easier to use and understand, shows exactky what is being done by the charger. the CTEK 'fixed' batteries that the NOCO simply showed an error code, such as battery short. i wiould never buy nor recommend the NOCO. those that gave high reviews must never have used the CTEK. the quality, workmnship, ease of use is truly night and day to the much lesser NOCO. when i tried to contact NOCO for explanation on how to use and whatwas meant in the manual (which is a small hard to read single piece of paper, it took a week for a response. then the tech had no idea of the error signals or able to clarify the manual. their warranty seems to me near a sham; you have to pay return fees and the unit is prorated.;;Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2018;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;not in the same league as CTEK's. it is more a cheap toy than a tool.;;Amazon Customer;;;When you have the right-powered unit for you battery needs, this is a great thing. But my review is based on the fact that the manufacturer makes it difficult to determine what unit you need for you battery needs. So this is my experience and it is negative which is why this is a three star review and not five star. Because after I finally did find the right unit, it is a nice product. I initially bought the G750 because I had a drained car battery. The box and the Amazon description both say it charges "Cars, Trucks, RVs, Boats, Equipment and More. It further states on the box, "Charge Fully Drained Batteries" Now I understand from more research on this product that this G750 says it is for batteries up to 30aH and that my problem is that car batteries are more like 100aH. But why did it take me numerous google searches to figure that out. They should really be clear that the G750 is not suitable for car batteries instead of relying on the customer to know the aH of their car battery. Who really knows the aH of their car battery? It turns out also that you cannot charge a fully drained battery because this thing needs the battery to have a half decent charge for it to even work. On the instructions it tells you that if your battery is dead, you should jump it to put power in it. What? I thought it was supposed to charge a "fully drained battery." It is advertised as both a charger and a float charger. Out of the box it is only working on one of my 4 car batteries but doesn't seem to be putting out much more than 12.8, measuring with my multimeter. Perhaps yes I should have been more careful to read that I might need a larger model for a car battery but it's only on the user comments and questions where I obtained that information. It should be made more clear by the manufacturer. Part of what I think the problem is now is that in the Amazon reviews section, Amazon should do more to highlight that the different reviews are for different amp sizes and while this is obvious now, it was not at all obvious when I was first trying to make this purchase. UPDATE: I ended up getting the G3500 which does charge my cars and truck battery from even a totally depleted state. It puts out 3.5 amps which is enough to charge all of my batteries at the most overnight if they are pretty dead. And does a good job as a maintainer. However, in retrospect, even the G3500 is relatively slow for the larger car and truck batteries and if I could do the purchase over again, I'd get the model that puts out at least 10 amps.;;Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2017;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;it's very important to pay attention to the model you order and it's kind of confusing to know what you need;;Jim;;;I purchased the .75 Amp version ("NOCO Genius G750 6V/12V .75A UltraSafe Smart Battery Charger") almost 3 years ago (May 2014), and have had no problems with it, since. I've used it to maintain or charge 3 motorcycle batteries using these leads: (NOCO Genius GC002 Eyelet Terminal Connector. By purchasing 2 extra terminal connectors for my other bikes (FYI, the .75 amp kit does come with ONE terminal connector, which is all you need if all you have is one motorcycle), I don't have to "access" the often hard-to-get-to battery and use the clamp type connector. You can then just tuck the female terminal connector end out of the way (under your seat, under the cowling, etc) until you put your bike away for more than a few days, then plug it in to your G750 charger. Nice! I highly recommend this G750 if you have a motorcycle. If you have cars that you don't drive very often (larger batteries...), buy a bigger/more expensive NOCO model charger that can be used on motorcycle AND cars/trucks. I don't have that need (I only have one 4-wheeled vehicle - a Range Rover, and it's driven almost daily by either me or my wife), so the $30 G750 fit the bill for my needs (this also works for lawn-mower batteries and other smaller batteries). Deep in the Noco genius user manual is a warning not to use this device below 32 F / O C. Porsche 911 owner approved
This charger / battery tender is fantastic. It is easy to use and has a safety built in to avoid overcharging and damaging your battery. Light indicator tells you the battery level ... blinks red Below 70% , blinks green when below 90%, solid green when above 90%. I use this on my Porsche 911 which will slowly drain the battery as it sits.

Ruined a new Yuasa battery
Killed a brand new Yuasa motorcycle battery. Left this charger connected to the battery for several months. Green light on the charger, everything should have been good. Disconnect the charger, try to start the bike and there wasn't even enough battery voltage to turn on the instrument lights. Battery is dead as a doornail. I couldn't recover it with my regular charger. This piece of junk is worse than no charger at all.

Works great above freezing, not below ...
Beware -- this device works just fine when the temps are above freezing, but when the temp in the garage fell below freezing in last winter's cold snap, this 'genius' failed and was as dead as ye olde proverbial door nail. That in turn caused the Optima battery it was maintaining while that was sustaining a low-amp load to also fail -- death by frozen cell. Deep in the Noco genius user manual is a warning not to use this device below 32 F / O C. An attempt to repair the Optima with another much more capable smart charger was unsuccessful, and that battery had to be replaced at significant cost. From now on, I'll be relying on another less 'intelligent' but known highly reliable float charger product that is impervious to cold weather.
