Dangerous!

Although it's been a year, I've hardly used this blender. Only ever blended fruit for smoothies and made maybe 20? In the last year...I bought plastic thinking it was safer than glass and it couldve potentially taken my life this afternoon! A hole blew out the side and two sharp shards of plastic blew out at high speed! If it was a different side it could've severally injured me

Blend your dreams into reality

It was an unfortunate moment when my roommate brought her family’s ten year old blender into our new apartment and the moment we turned it on, it started bleeding black, gruesome gore. Up to that moment, it had survived three international moves and a decade of 4 children and several maids handling it, but the moment we turned it on - after the fourth move - it met it’s end. Like many of us (un)fortunate souls that end up in New York, the hostile atmosphere the city exhales had perforated its soul and now, hemorrhaging to death in our hands, we had no solution but to buy another blender. How is it that humans discard objects - and people - so easily after so many years of service and loyalty without thinking about it twice! Luckily, the Ninja 1000 Watts Blender NJ600 was there to fill the void. Equipped with three blades and blending modes, it is a triple threat to any food you might throw it’s way. I honestly believe it can counter any obstacle, whether that is it vegetable or fruit, inanimate or living object - depending on how creative you like to get in the kitchen. I think the only critique - and my neighbors can vouch for me - is the unsexy noises it makes. For me, it’s the sweet sound of a berry blend and almond milk smoothie materializing and making its way to me from a land inhabited by my deepest cravings and desires. However, for my neighbors it might sound like someone threw a knife into the food processor in the hopes of concealing their guilty pleasure for tacky music, although no one should find it embarrassing if they’re still listening to Rebecca Black in 2018. Like any song, a blender is a good companion and if chosen with care and attention, it can outlive any fashion, warranty or move. And with my Ninja 1000, I doubt I’ll be buying another blender in a good ten years!

While the vitamix is clearly the superior product, it's not worth $600 more

I have owned a vitamix and a ninja. While the vitamix is clearly the superior product, it's not worth $600 more. An an example with smoothies, with whole chia seeds, the vitamix would pulverize the small seeds and they remain intact with the ninja. Is that a $600 problem? If you think no, I think you'll be happy with the ninja.

This works great for the price

This works great for the price. However, every time I attach the blender to the base, it puts a scratch in the base. Ive only had it a week and it already looks pretty bad. The handle doesn't seem very strong either and I'm afraid that it will eventually detach while I'm trying to pour.

Great Blender, Excellent Price!

We bought this to replace our old Ninja Blender that was almost identical to this one. This one has a better lid and some other minor upgrades. We bought our old one over 5 years ago and it held up to almost everyday use for breakfast smoothies. I paid $100 for that one, and it just finally wore out. This replacement is an amazing deal for $60, much better than spending $110 or $150 or more for a "new" blender. This refurbished model is "like new" and is a great bargain at a fraction of the price. I don't suspect we will be needing another blender for several more years. It's almost tempting to buy an extra of these and put it into storage for the day that happens. This is just a fantastic blender, no need to buy a different model.

Spend the extra money and buy new!

Arrived looking brand new! was happy with it until tried to make a milk, banana, protien shake. After maybe 20-30 seconds the blender shut off and that was it! This was my first time trying refurbished! Should have spent the extra money. This was total waste, sending it back in but I have an hour drive to nearest UPS office so this is not worth the time or money.

Great value but,

For $60 this is a fantastic blender with tons of power and will blend up just about anything you throw in there. The blades are razor sharp so be careful. The operation is simple and very secure. There is however one note of dissatisfaction I have with this product. The lid. The lid comes with a locking mechanism to secure it to the blender itself. In theory this is great. However, I would of preferred a much more simple design like that of the blend tec. The lid has a handle that pushes down to latch onto the blender and also has a push button to release the clamp. This makes for some moving parts within the lid that are not easy to clean without a dishwasher. I use my blender daily so I normally rinse it out and then throw in hot water and dish soap and pulse it a few times to clean. The lid can have food particles become stuck in some areas and this is frustrating when I am in a rush. Overall the blender is fantastic and buying the refurbished model is a great way to save money. If you want to spend money, buy the blendtec. If you want to get the second best blender on the market for a fraction of the price buy this Ninja.

This Ninja is fantastic... I had an issue with the Blade lining up with the Lid, and the refurbishing company Sohnen Ent. was super about sending me new ones. I will most assuredly purchase from their site again without any reservations. Thanks
