I needed a small, portable label printer to label various things in my shop and home. This little printer fits the bill even better than I anticipated. For first time use it is just a matter of charging the printer while you install the software on your phone or tablet, loading the consumables and designing a label to print, then hitting "Print". It cannot be any easier than that. The printer detects the size of the labels you have loaded via RFID and updates the app appropriately so you never have to bother with entering in what size label you are using. It's so easy to use that I didn't bother even glancing at the tutorial or the instructions and I was printing labels in around five minutes. The consumables are the ribbon, and the labels. The ribbon included with the printer is black, but there are several other colors available. Just as there are several colors of label available as well. The advertising states that the printer can print "in color" which is true, in manner of speaking. You could use a red ribbon with yellow labels, or yellow ribbon with black labels, but the printer (and software) has no facility for just selecting a color combination that you would like to use. Basically, it is "what you load, is what you get" from a color printing standpoint. The battery life is surprisingly good, given that the battery is only 1,200mAh. I haven't had to recharge it since I got it and started using it. I print a dozen or so labels per day and it has been almost two weeks since the initial charging. I only have one small complaint about the printer. Or rather, about the ribbon I suppose. Occasionally I will have to reprint a label because the first one prints badly. It will occasionally leave gaps and blank areas in the letters and numbers as though the ribbon is running out of "ink". But reprinting the label fixes it every time. I suspect it is a quality control issue rather than an issue with the ribbon or printer. Overall I am very pleased with this printer. It does what I need it to do in a very lightweight, easily portable, wireless way. I recommend it if you need to label everything from spice containers to drill batteries. It is perfect for both of those things and every possible thing in-between.

This is my second nimbot printer. I have another that prints much larger labels. Those labels were too large for many of my applications, so I decided to see what they had in a printer that did smaller labels. For the reasonable price, I really wasn't expecting too much, but I am impressed so much with the ease of use and versatility of this printer. It's so well thought out everything from loading it, to the application to use it. It is aimed at making it easy as pie. For the most part it is, although setting up the application can be a bit of a challenge the first time. It was easy for me because I already had it set up for my other printer and just had to add this printer. My suggestion is if you have any problem setting up the application, go to YouTube and search the videos on how to set up the nimbot. That's what I resorted to doing the first time. Not only is this printer tiny and nice looking and very versatile, the labels that this company makes are perhaps the best labels I've ever used . They don't smear. They stick incredibly well. I have even used them outside with no problem in the elements for short periods as they will fade outside. There's a ton of different similar printers, but nimbot seems to be the main company and the standard and that is why I stuck with them. If you're at all like me, you will find yourself labeling stuff that you never thought of before., because it is so easy to make a label. You simply open up the app, pull out your last label or a template, do some editing - press print and it spits out immediately. It’s not difficult to get the backing off to stick it to something either. I can highly recommend this label printer and enjoy using it and it's larger sibling everyday

The machine pairs fairly easily with the smart phone. Download the app and your good to start playing around. I had a little hiccup with the label templates that it initially loaded for my purchased machine, but when I went to print the app popped an error and walked me though fixing it to the correct print material template. The machine will only print based on the cartage applied. In my case that is black. So even if you can add color to the template it will only print in grey scale. Pictured for reference. The application technology is definitely outside of the US as the English is a little broken, but it has clean functionality. I've only begun to try out all the options. I did have the image cut off on my print out a little bit, but nothing I couldn't correct with a reprint. I deducted half a star for this because I would hope that the app would warn you about printing margins. One of my labels printed out a bit broken, cutting off the bottom of the R and leaving lines in the o. This might get frustrating if it happens frequently and wastes supplies. I only saw it on 1 of the 4 I've printed to so far. I deducted half a star because it is still readable, but might be a problem for lab/precision uses. FINAL WORD: It's not perfect, but the labels have a nice feel and gloss.
