I purchased the Newbalance sneaker in gray and in a size 7M, which is typical size for me except sometimes in sneakers. Since I was going on a trip and wanted to be able to wear the sneakers, I opted to order a size 7M. I probably could have gone to a 7.5M as the 7M just fits, yet is narrow the middle width, which was surprising as I usually have issue with too wide at heel. I liked the color and the sneaker was comfortable. I don't typically wear tennis shoes unless to work out and I didn't purchase this sneaker for that purpose but rather to wear on outgoing and return flights. I don't like to wear socks but can wear a thin one with the size 7M. This sneaker does run narrow all over and especially more narrow in middle, which is typically my problem. I would recommend if you wear a narrow to medium width and would size up if wearing socks. ... show more

I decided that I would break my rule and write a review. I bought my first pair of these shoes as a gift for my daughter. They were so light weight and yet comfy I promptly ordered myself a pair. I loved the color of mine so much I bought a back up pair. We all know that when our favorite shoes finally die they aren't made anymore. These wash up beautifully but I decided I needed a black pair for yard work. Now I've purchased a second pair in a new color for my daughter and will admit that I love those so much that I have one for me in my cart at this time. They are light weight but offer me great support. So many colors to choose from too. The real question to ask myself is "How many are too many?" Time will tell. Give them a try! ... show more

    • Only needed to size up 1/2 size
I read the reviews and ordered a half size up and a full size up. And surprise, I got 2 different shoes. The size 8 I feel was well designed and supportive all around, and it had cushioning inside around the ankle (like little pillows on the sides) which stabilized my foot. But, it was way too big. Next came the 7.5 which was my half size up. It fits fine, it looks the same but doesn't wear the same! It doesn't have the supportive cushioning around the ankle so my foot feels unstable, like it's too loose. When I tighten the laces it helps a little but still, the foot is not as stable. I like the style of this and the look on my feet but am totally bummed out about this one crucial difference. Another reviewer suggested these may be knock offs. That inside padding makes the shoe, otherwise it's a flat floppy sneaker. And so, if they're different in design from the original, they should be priced lower than the original. I'd give 5 stars for the size 8 original shoe I got, but just 3 stars because I didn't get the shoe I thought I bought. ... show more

I love these tennis shoes. My coworker had them and I fell I love with the patten. They are comfortable my only complaint is the laces constantly come undone because of the heavy end piece. I still recommend and might possibly purchase again when I wear these out.
