abunda_amazon_reviews Great price, solid for a beginner rig. This rig will not be steady enough without a counterweight. You will want a 3LB counter weight. Here is how to build one that looks professional and only costs about $5.00. I went to the hardware store and bought 2 - 4" hex bolts (metric thread 8.8) and 50 - 2" washers. You will also want 2 nuts with nylon inserts that thread onto the carriage bolts. put 25 washers on each bolt tighten on the nylon nut and then wrap tightly in electrical tape or paint them black. You can also dip them in black epoxy or resin and let it harden. You are just doing this for aesthetic reasons and hiding the fact that you have 50 washers on the back of your rig as a weight. Then, instead of putting the 2 blue pipe caps on the ends of the pipes behind the shoulder pad, thread the bolts you just made into the pipes. (When you buy the bolts, take one of the pipes with you to make sure it will thread all the way onto the bolt. I have included pics of my weights. Have fun! You may need to add more washers on a longer bolt if you have a heavier camera or extra camera components.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2016;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Great price, solid for a beginner rig;;TheOpinion;;;I only shoot video occasionally, and this shoulder rig is just the right combination of price, stability, and comfort for my needs. I like that it has a nice large mounting plate and an all metal design. I also like that the handles can be moved left or right for the shoulder mount; as an obese man it makes it a lot easier that I can position the shoulder pad further to the right side (and away from my neck). Solid construction - great entry level rig for someone like me.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great entry level shoulder rig;;Photographer James;;;The price is right. Picks: Very versatile, looks good, easy to assemble, fits on my Manfrotto head and is easily detachable. (with an additional mounting plate) Pans: It's heavy, the locking nuts can interfere with set ups, true position of the threads on the extension tubes for the shoulder mount, are poor, resulting in uneven/not straight tubes from front to back. Overall I like the kit. Dreading the day I have to carry it around all day. Happy with the purchase SPI;;Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2019;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Camera/Camcorder System;;Scott, WI;;;Stable rig for filming. The shoulder mount really helps to alleviate the physical pressure and stress of shooting and makes the whole filming process much more comfortable to hold my camera and move around with. Curved, so it fits around my shoulder. The double handle bars make for secure holding and motion, gripped so they won't slip through my hands. Durable railing rod system that I can put on my shoulder or fasten into a tripod. The camera plate comes out so I can install my camera or camcorder onto it first before I put it into the rig, also works fast so I can take it out when I need it. This rig offers so much, any cinematographer will get along with it.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Stable rig for filming;;Rusty Mace;;;I love this rig. For $70 it fit within my tight budget. Pros: Lightweight Helps decently with panning smoothness Makes you look awesome. People have been staring at me for the past 2 days I've used it. There's room for a cheapo focus lever (which I have). It is built quite well. I don't have much experience with other rigs, but this is nice for the price. Works even for pros. My friend does videography professionally. He recommended this to me since it's the one he uses. Cons: A little difficult to set up via the instructions. As someone who sucks at instructions, just look closely at the pictures and you'll figure it out. The shoulder pad is uncomfortable. I added some padding with a type of insulation and duct tape. I didn't notice much shakiness that couldn't be corrected in post, but adding washers to the end really helped. (Just did that today. A top reviewer mentions it. It's about $10-15) Sometimes the sliding plate won't want to go on correctly, but that's mostly due to my user error. The front handles can be the slightest bit loose, but nothing that isn't correctable.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2016;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;I love this rig! The screw head that tightens up the mounting plate for the camera broke. The blue twisty knob came lose from the actual screw head. Luckily the opposite end of the screw had an opening for a screw driver to take the piece out otherwise the whole rig would have been useless. I gorilla glued it back together so let's see how it goes. Minus one star. 6/4 unboxing. Will update on quality if needed. Took me all of 5 minutes to put together. The whole thing feels very solid. It's all metal frame feels sturdy. The grip handles are a hard rubber, I doubt those will fall apart any time soon. The only thing you could complain about is the rubber shoulder pad. Initial stabilizer I bought and still use is another item on amazon that has foldable handles that allowed me to switch between using as shoulder rig to more cage setup stabilizer. Although great the to have the ability to adjust setup in less than a minute, the should rig setup doesn't compare to the stability and firm hold when I got this one from Neewer. Feels a lot better to use and maintain for longer periods. Different shots will require the different tools and it's up to the user to decide which is best for the job.
