I was SUPER impressed by the build quality of this nerf gun for a while. Lots of fun little touches like duct tape and wire to make it look like a fun anti-zombie weapon. Really liked it. For about a week it fired rounds very well. Not accurately. The only way I could hit a person 10' away is by not aiming at them... Anyways, fast forward a couple of weeks and this thing CONSTANTLY jams. It barely ever fires rounds anymore. Out of a clip of 8 darts I might get one shot. The remainder are half fired darts that are jammed in the mechanism. It's a good try for a semi-auto firing Nerf weapon (no cocking necessary), but there's a LOT that needs to be done to keep this thing working properly. As cool as it looks, I strongly urge any buyer to pass on this one. ... show more

To say simply "you can never go wrong with Nerf" is really all that needs be said. But I'll go into a little more detail anyways. PROS: - Great material, as always - Good design. This thing looks exactly like the kind of weapon you'd expect your character to boast in your favorite zombie/ apocalyptic game - The price point is spot on for the perks of the device - The shot accuracy is nice - meaning your dart doesnt do that crap "foop" thing where it drops like an inch from your gun barrel. The dart actually pops out a good distance and in the area you aim for (if you actually aim lol and not just point and pop and hope it gets there) - The "clip" design is a pretty nifty design in itself and lends a nice chainsaw type look to the gun - There is no "primer" or pump action to load the darts to shoot (PLUS for little guys using these!) - Semi-auto trigger shooting makes for a nice streamlined shooting spree - Soft shot for the little guys CONS: - The grip is a bit wide - more for teenage to adult hands and a little hard for a 10 yr old to grip onto - Soft shot for the big guys that want more of a pack in their punch - The angles for the muzzle are a little tilted up and makes for needing to tilt downward a tad to get a good aim All in all - spectacular buy and worth the price! ... show more

Not sure what we were expecting here. The gun is great for those who have a hard time cocking a normal gun. However, it just doesn't live up to the rest of the Nerf line-up as far as performance. Ordered 3, only 2 worked. The one that was broken would move the magazine up as you pulled the trigger, but the "firing pin" would not engage leaving the darts in the mag. ... show more

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. At first I left a excellent review because the price for the size and quality of the gun seemed excellent. After owning it for a couple months I am updating the review. The gun gets jammed constantly. I am saying like 99 percent of the time. Very rarely can you shoot all of the darts without one getting jammed, so you never really get to shoot all of them in the gun and you always end up having to remove a jammed dart. The size of the gun for the price is still great, so I gave it a 2 star but the jamming issue is definitely very annoying. It frustrates my child and results in me having to unjam it every couple minutes before he gets sick of playing with it. I have attached a video. You will notice the darts stop flying and then if you look you see the dart jammed. This jamming of the darts over time also ruins the darts from the bending. I'm super sad that this gun doesn't work well. We love having nerf battles and the bullets get stuck. My kids don't want to use it. Sadly it was a waste.

Picked this up for my nephew's birthday, and he was thrilled. Then he tried using it. When fully loaded, we can get -maybe- half the darts to fire. The others just sit in the clip, completely undisturbed no matter how much force is used to squeeze the firing mechanism. And I'm not talking about after we've been fiddling with and firing the bullets for hours on end—this was immediately after removing from the package. That leads to only three conclusions: either the product we received was defective, we're somehow committing user error despite getting it to work on the other half of the bullets perfectly fine, or else Nerf was completely aware of this as a potential issue and released the product anyways. ... show more

This gun jammed repeatedly on any darts that had been used even lightly, and the ability to clear jams quickly is required. With new darts this zombie-slayer works very well, though. Also works on roofs.

This is relatively hard to find at a good price. amazon delivered! The blaster is large. Adult hands will have no issues. The darts it comes with are fine. However if you experience issues with some darts not firing or not shooting very far, I've found that it helps to have a pack of darts such as the Blue Camo Pattern (not easy to find) becaseu they're stiffer. Should't have to do that. But I have plenty and that's my observation. Otherwise green zombie strike refills are good. The other thing is you have to squeeze the trigger all the way which might take getting used to. Take your time between shots. You can squeze rapidly if you're an adult that gets used to the mechanism, but good darts help. It's a very unique priming mechanism. Nerf has only made about 3 blasters like this.
