They work very well right. The ear tips were hard to keep in, but I ordered smaller tips. If the sound is turned all the way up, it will have static. Between 2& 3 works best for me. As good as the much more expensive ones I had before. I highly reccomend. The price is very affordable.

Please understand that I don't know anything about Hearing aides in general. I'm just going by what my ears tell me. That said, I do hear more stuff, mainly background sound. Speech is not clearer unless it's two tables away. On mode 4 the instructions say the background sound is cut back and you'll hear the person in front of you better. NOT! And when you're in a HD or warehouse, whatever is dropped, the sound slams your ears. Also the charger does work but does not store a charge, so just be aware of that. All in all I'm not very happy, but are other units any better. I don't know.... ... show more

At about $200, this is an economical buy. They fit well, are easy to configure, are lightweight and come with a charging case (everyone should have that, right?). My issue with them is that the response curve to sounds is not smooth and I could not eliminate a light white noise sound. On the response curve, quick, sharp sounds seemed to be amplified beyond normal surprising me with the volume response. On the white noise, could well be a fitment issue. Overall, recommend you try these as your first attempt at low cost OTC aids as they were not terrible. ... show more

Have worn these everyday for the last week and I am impressed. Compared to others I've tried; I am pleased with them. They are indeed more than just sound amplifiers. The volume is easy to change and so is the four programs. Went to dinner with another couple and it was quite noisy, so changings the program really made a difference. No they are not like the ones costing $2,000 and up but for me they work just fine. I am 79 years old, been wearing aids for 20 years, I have severe hearing loss combined with ringing in my ears from jet engines I would order them again. ... show more

I tried several OTC amplifiers, and this one was the best for $300 or less. I definitely hear high pitch sounds I didn't hear before, but it doesn't seem to help me understand speech that much.

Aids were an emergency backup to my Oticon’s. For the money the amplification is good. For those, like me who wear my aids 18+ hours a day, they were comfortable. I really like the rechargeable option to batteries.
