  • Overall a great bunk bed, but I made one addition (or eight, technically) that made it even better
Color: Grey Style: Low Bunk + Slide
The bunk bed is great and I've had adults sleep on the top bed with no issue. However, it was a little more wobbly than I'd like when an adult was getting up top or moving around at all. It made me feel like over time the screws and bolts would loosen. I decided to just get a cheap pack of these silver brackets for like $10 (in the attached pic - you can find something like this on Amazon or at your local hardware store) and I added eight of them on the corners underneath the top bunk. The stability difference was immediately noticeable and I'm more confident in the long term life of this bunk bed (it's in our guest room, so it will likely get kids and adults sleeping on it). ... show more

  • Solid and Fun!
Color: Grey Style: Low Bunk + Slide
We got this for our 2 and 3 year olds who need to start sharing a room. I love the low profile and higher guardrails up top. It wasn’t too bad to set up. It took two of us about 2.5 hours. The bed and slide feel very sturdy. The main issue we’ve had is that the slide is very fast and has a wooden bump at the bottom that hurt our kids when they went down. This probably wouldn’t be a real issue for bigger kids. We fixed the problem by hot gluing a carpet piece over it (see picture). ... show more

  • Affordability is not worth sacrificing safety
Color: White Style: Low Bunk + Slide
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE SEPT 28 2023: I will NEVER ever. Spend this much money on a bunk bed again after what we've gone through in the last couple days. We've only had this bunk bed a couple months!!! I think we received it first week of august? And holy what a disaster that happened the other day. This bed is used by a 3yr old and 5yr old and my 1yr old likes to go down the slide. Tiny little tots. Tiny little tots I repeat. A truly good and sturdy piece of furniture would be able to hold up to them. I would know having owned far nicer bunk beds my entire life. The other day the ladder suddenly came off. It shouldn't have. We used the hardware that came with the bed, followed exactly instructions, my kids are not rough with this bed. I didn't see the screws anywhere. Yikes #1. So I went and got my own hardware as an emergency fix. When I went to put the ladder back on the bed resting right there before my eyes was HALF the screw. HALF. THEY JUST BROKE???? in the bed?!? How cheap of screws did they provide with these? Now I must fear the bunk beds railing will be next and one day just snap off the bed. GET YOUR OWN SCREWS!! I will be replacing the rail screws as soon as possible before further accident occurs. Look this bed is cute and all. Affordable as well. But after personally growing up with real wood furniture that was actually fully finished this is horrible. The ends are rough and ragged. Splicing my finger open while taking them out of the package and shedding everywhere. While I'm not doubting their claim of real wood man it's not great wood. The guardrail is a piece of crap for the top. There has gotta be a way to reinforce it more with some type of metal brackets because it wiggles if my 36lbs 4 1/2 year old even leans on it. That little screw I'm holding? It's held in by 6 of those total. Just 6 little screws. I for some reason assumed the whole bed would be wood. No. The slide is actually a flimsy wobbly plastic board that completely relies on its wood frame and supports. Which isn't the worst thing in the world. Just obvious cost cutting. The top end of the bed as you can see in my video is literally cracking apart and I can see glue. So. Fantastic. I saw other reviews as well saying that the top bunk should have a bunkie board. So I took the bunkie board we have from out actual solid wood bunk my kids are too small still to use and chucked it on the top bunk. I've seen reviews stating mattresses would sink through the gaps and with young kids I'm not taking chances. Also you can't see it but twin mattresses don't even fit this bed. I have two twin mattresses one being 17 years old and fitting other twin beds fine and a brand new memory foam. Both leave atleast an inch or two gap on the side which is uh...yikes. Understanding why they want you to buy their mattresses now that supposedly fit their beds perfectly. It's enough of a gap that you may not care enough about but honestly with young tots I worry about it being enough for them to get stuck. Yea though. Coincidence enough for me that mattresses bought 17 yrs apart from completely different brands that fit other twins fine magically have a gap in this and they advertise having their own mattresses. And that guardrail I mentioned earlier being held in by those little nothing screws? Just want you to know thats how the slide and ladder are stabilized on the side as well. They have metal hangers but guess what. Those are also held in by those same screws. Also in nature yes wood has some imperfections but yeesh look at a couple of these. These were far from natural imperfections. Most were human error. Our parts came with divets dug in the side and painted over, weird looking dot chew marks, and as you can see in one picture just straight up put together wrong. I couldn't even fix that. Overall if you're fine with some instability, your actual twin size mattress having a gap, cosmetic defects they tried to cover up, and some splinters and cuts be my guess. The bed overall is pretty sturdy feeling despite the ladder and guardrail. It did come with all the wrenches needed save for a mallet and X head screwdriver. This bed is absolute perfect for my two toddlers who are 3 and 4 1/2. 3 yr old uses bottom bunk which is practically on the floor and the ladder is small and perfect for the older kid who has no issue at all getting to the top. Also the slide is super steep. Fair warning. ... show more

  • Easy assembly, scuffs easily
Color: Clay Style: Low Bunk + Slide
We have put together lots of furniture over the years including several ikea pieces - this was pretty straightforward but took 2 of us (in a small room) most of a Sunday. It seems sturdy -we read with our small kids on the top bunk daily- and it doesn’t wiggle or wobble. We ordered this particular brand because it (mostly) matched the color and finish of a crib and dresser set from target. We’re no longer using the crib, but kept the dresser so we wanted something that went with it. The one downside to this bunk bed is that it marks up pretty easily. If -like us- you’d be using this for small kids, it may last but probably won’t look very nice after a few years. ... show more

  • Great quality
Color: White Style: Low Bunk + Slide
It took us an hour and a half to put the bed together. The directions were very easy to follow. My only complaint about the bed is the slide. At the bottom of the slide is a small lip (pictured in review) and my kids complain each time they slide and hit it. Other than than, we love the bed!
