  • Why does nobody know this brand?
Color: Blue Ceramic / Polished Graphite Case
So I got into consumer audio a few years ago, when I got a pair of Jabra Elite Active 65t's as a gift. Great buds, and they got me hooked. I went from those to Sony WF-1000XM3's, then the next gen of the same line. I dabbled in premium with B&O's Beoplay EQ's, which blew me away with the detail of the soundstage. I thought audio couldn't get better, and then I bought these. I legitimately got chills all over when I put these in my ears for the first time. I listen to a lot of metal, so I prefer an emphasis on punchy, tight bass. But the MW08's have so much detail across the board that even though my music isn't as intense, it's so darn beautiful that I don't care. These things make every day that I use them that much better, simply by virtue of making songs I've known for years sound new again. The only reason they're not five stars is because the battery life is less than desirable (although I think I'm an anomaly, based on the many reviews that rave about it). The design is also stunning, elegant, and understated, with an emphasis on aesthetics and build quality that is almost non-existent in the world of consumer technology. If you're willing to spend a pretty penny on tech, buy these right now. You'll never look at Airpods the same way again. ... show more

  • Excellent build quality, beautiful, comfortable design, okay sound quality
Color: White Ceramic / Stainless Steel Case
PRESENTATION AND BUILD: Opening these up from the box was a very "Wow" experience. The packaging is beautiful and solid. Picking up the case for the first time also shocked me at how solid and heavy (but not too heavy) it felt. I was super pleased. When they arrived, the case was fully charged, and the buds were at 90%, so none of that interminable waiting for your headphones to charge for the first time before you can use them. (If you do want to charge them first, take the buds out of the case and remove the plastic film over the charging terminals so they make contact) Putting the buds in felt good. They fit nicely, and stayed in place. The medium tips were a little small, so I fitted the large tips on, and they got a very good seal in my ears. I shook my head and jumped around a little, and they stayed put. I didn't run a 5K with them or anything, but for normal usage, no issues for me at all. Note: I don't have issues with the fit of wireless earbuds. Some people have an ear shape that makes certain designs press and hurt, and I haven't had that with anything. But these are smaller and more compact than they look in photos, and I think they should be good for most ears. I think these look the best of any wireless buds I've tried. I got the white ceramic pair, and really enjoyed the way they looked in my ears. CONNECTION: They paired to my Pixel 3 right away, more simple than any others I've tried. Connection seemed solid and stable. Nothing to report here. SOUND QUALITY: I like electronic music, pop, alternative, and mostly music that has important sounds in the really deep bass. The MW08's let me down here. I would say that they sound "fine". If you're coming from very cheap earbuds or free headphones, you will likely enjoy the sound a lot. I'm trying to replace a broken pair of Powerbeats Pros which I loved, but broke. The Powerbeats have a 12mm driver, and are able to hit really low sub-bass without effort. They don't have the "stereotype" Beats bass that's really muddy. They're really nice. So when they broke, I went looking for something else with a large driver to replace them with. The MW08 has an 11mm driver, so I thought it would do the trick, but it doesn't. The tuning is very different. There is almost no sub-bass, and the higher bass frequencies (50-80hz) are really pronounced and stuffy. I found it to be overwhelming, but not in a pounding way that's fun for bass-heads, but in more of a droning congested way. That alone was enough to turn me off, but the high frequencies also sound like my ears are stuffed, and high-hat and high pitched electronic sounds make my eyes water with these. I drew out what I heard the frequency response to be, to give a sort of visual representation. My Powerbeats Pros had some intermittent connection issues and eventually died on me, but I'm just going to be buying another pair of them. I can't find anything else that sounds as good for my style of music, and they're (currently as of June 2021) much less expensive. I did not try noise cancelation. I did not hear much of an effect with the ambient sound pass-through either. I have experienced the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 version of ambient audio and that seemed far superior, but I did NOT give these a total test in that regard, so that's not anything to go off of. ... show more

  • I don’t know what to rate these
Color: White Ceramic and Silver / Matte Black Case
Ok granted I’m somewhat what basis in my opinion seeing that I own M&D M40’s which great sounding with the exception that the bass is just barely average. But that’s ok I own other headphones just to meet my craving for more bass. Now to these MWO8’s, they truly sound great with enough bass to satisfy most. The soundstage is nice Ky balanced crisp highs smooth midrange and adequately handling of the bass. Vocals on all spectrums are sweet and clean definitely not muddy. But for a premium product I just don’t understand how they could have the worst app on the planet! Can someone please tell whom ever that your app is beyond sucky! I bought the mwo7 before and the product was defective sent it back and just some ol’ reliable beats. I’m seriously considering sending these back because all of earbuds have apps from Sony 6 beats and Apple stuff since I have several Apple devices but back to my list even my budget JBL’s have an app that WORKS oh yeah I can’t forget my Phillips must say their app is really good of course Sony apps is pretty cool working with xm4’s So what is it M&D plenty of us support you when will you keep your end. Sad just sad your app has been bad for sometime. What am I to do, to keep them or not that is the ? ... show more
