abunda_amazon_reviews *UPDATE UPDATE* I've had these almost 3 years. I've logged a lot of gaming hours and a lot of trips with them. This last trip was to Hawaii and they are still going strong. I was thinking of giving them as a gift and noticed that they are only $33.99! I paid much more than that and I am happy with them. These have lasted longer than most of my other headsets. I did not know these were on sale when I let my kid talk me into another pair of headsets recently for her. If you find the rest of this helpful, click helpful. *UPDATE ~ photo added* Just took a cross-country flight. The headphones really work well as an all around solution. Great in the game. Great on the plane. I'm a pretty serious gamer. I just finished my new build. I first heard about these at the GameStop Expo in LA. I'm a pretty serious gamer. Enough that I have a sweet gaming rig and I go to Gaming Events. With my nerd/gaming enthusiast bonafide's established, let me explain what I was looking for: My kid kept stealing my good headsets. We started battling over them. I finally got tired of it and decided to buy another pair. I wanted something versatile. Gaming headsets that double as excellent everyday headphones. Like I said I saw these at the GameStop Expo. I visited 4 different headset booths and these were by far superior at the price point of any I saw that day. I was excited when I finally pulled the trigger and ordered these sweet gaming headsets. PRO's: 1. The cord doesn't twist up and annoy me. My last headset's braided cord wound up tighter and tighter then I would have to unspool it. You can see the cord from the old headset in the photo. I put it on the envelope to point it out. That was super annoying from my old headset. This cord, while not braided is good quality but it doesn't twist up. The LS20 has a great cord. I know it is funny to put that first but take a look at the white envelope on my first photo and you will see why I did. 2. Styling: These babies are equally at home at a LAN party or Airport. Pop the mic off and they look like they were meant to be in business class. I love the look and feel of these headsets. They look cool. I can't wait to show them off at the next LAN event I attend. I already showed them to a couple of my gaming buddies and they are envious. They have a certain cool factor that the big clunky headsets don't have. 3. Sound: The amplified sound and bass boost are awesome. I was listening to music as I typed this review out and was amazed at the difference in sound from my old headsets. These just have a deeper better sound. It didn't feel like I was listening to music on a gamer's headset. They sound like an expensive audiophiles headset. Unplug the mic and you will look cool walking around with them on your ears. 4. Microphone: I got into our TeamSpeak channel and tested out the sound of the Microphone. The conversation went like this: "Sounds like you got a new mic. It's not so tinny." And again the mic unplugs converting the headset to a sweet set of headphones. 5. Comfort: I like how they fit. They are not as hot as my bigger pair of headsets. I didn't have that sweaty gamer's ear that the other pair gives almost immediately. I'm not saying they don't make your ears hot, but they are much better than my old pair. 6. Quality: These have a solid feel to them that I love. While not heavy, they are solid. I paid a similar price for my other gaming headsets, but these just seem to a different caliber of quality. CON's: 1. Short wire. The 3.5mm line is a little short. They are designed to plug into a gaming controller or a keyboard. You can also plug them into most monitors. That is the preferred set up for most PC Gamers. I had an extension handy and plugged them directly into my PC. SUMMARY: What set these headsets apart is they double as headphones. They have great sound at the $99 price point but they are not stuck to your Gaming Rig. You can be stylish and listen to your jams as you fly coast to coast.;;Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2016;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Made for Gaming perfect for flying;;JT- Office Manager T;;;I hate writing bad reviews, but I wanted to provide the frustration I went through so that others may not have to. I hope this review will answer some questions I've seen on this product. The problems started when I could not get the audio volume or audio mute to work, I was using it in PC mode (that's a RED LED). I had read the LS20 manual before buying and the quick-mute feature was a key selling point for me. So I emailed LS Support reporting the issue. I received a quick response from a Support tech basically telling me to read the manual. I will assume the tech was referring to this section: Note that the volume, Bass Boost, and mute buttons will not function in passive mode, but the mobile phone control button on the left earcup will still work. I found Support response rather insulting, and completely not helpful. here's why... LS says the LS20 has 3 modes, PC, XBOX, and PS4... when in fact it has FOUR modes... the forth being passive, which I am assuming to be the mode where the LED is off. You cannot be sure, since the "mode" list in the manual does not list "passive". It could be that passive mode was another name for PC mode, but if that's the case, then the manual is wrong because volume control DOES work in PC mode. Getting the device into passive mode is tricky, you need to push the power quickly but not too quick. This isn't really mentioned in the manual either AND passive mode is the only way to save your battery. If you push Power too long it will switch modes. To little and it won't do anything. The ACTUAL cause of my problem was that that one of the three clips that hold the plastic cap to the left ear piece was not snapped in place. The cause of this seems to be the o-ring was caught in the hole that the snap was supposed to sink into. After completely removing cap on the left ear piece, resetting the o-ring and snapping the cap back in place, the volume control now works. The audio mute still does not work in PC mode (red LED) but does work in PS4 mode (Blue LED). tl;dr 1. I don't appreciate support assuming that I am not smart enough to read the TWO PAGE manual. 2. The manual is incorrect and/or ambiguous. 3. The actual volume control problem I had was POOR ASSEMBLY of the device 4. It seems that audio mute doesn't work in PC mode, but does in XBOX/PS4 mode, which is documented NO WHERE. 5. There is a (possible?) forth mode of the headset with the LED being off, which is tricky to make work.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2019;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Worked... eventually;;ClubPetey;;;Love them! Especially for the price. Originally being $100 still would have been a great deal. I was able to purchase them for $50. These were sleepers and I hope they get better recognition for the price, style, build quality and sound. Everything you see that is silver/gray is metal, the dial control on the ear cup is really useful and now I can't imagine using volume controls any other way now. The great thing about these is that you can use them as gaming headsets on your PC/Mac, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Playstation 4. You can take calls from your mobile daily driver and listen to music with the built in mic, without having to use the mic for gaming as you see in the picture. There are rubber covers where the gaming mic attaches. The base is great and directional sound for gaming. They look like a clean pair of headphones that if you were to wear them in public people wouldn't know they are gaming headsets. Versatility is the top reason I bout these, they are an amazing product that I highly recommend.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Versatile, Quality Sound, Durable and Great Price!;;Chris
